Dust has forever been an SP game, and it is constantly decided by who has the worst team..
rarely, a team has to earn victory they just pay for it ...
It's the biggest reason this game may fail - it's let so many people have an unbeatable advantage which they will always abuse, until CCP recall the game
With a squad of seasoned players, coming up against the 30mil SP bitches is rarely going to end well if there is more than 2/3 of them...
Imagine playing your first game of Dust against guys who cant step out of 100k suits |

Even if they step out of those suits and run equal gear, they'll still have more fun stomping. Some players are just as better in starter fit as they are in Fully loaded proto suits. It's the blue berries fault who just run straight at their guns without any tactics... Mostly it's CCPs matchmaking |

So what are the 30mil SP bitches supposed to do? I do see both sides of the situation but I haven't been in a match where someone isn't running proto gear on either side. Either fix match making in pub matches or make it where u can only run proto fits in Faction Warfare.

I guess that's where the competitive mind set should work. If someone gets smashed by a Proto, they should work hard to get Proto and stomp them back. That's how i started and that how reached 32 mil. No one donated the SP to me or others. Every one of those players that you are calling bitches have earned those 30 mil + SP and suits and everything else. it's not their fault if the other team sucks or CCP puts fresh out of academy players against these players... I will run Proto every match all day, why?! I've earned it and i can afford it. |

This is a moot point. I've been on teams of all basic and advanced gear that have won against mostly proto teams, I've also been on mostly proto teams who have lost against mostly basic and advanced gear. It's not always who has the most SP or ISK.
I agree that there should be better match making. Obviously that's something CCP has yet to figure out. |

lol, a proto suit, a proto weapon, and all the Dropsuit Upgrades skills will run you 21 million. No boosters, logging in once a day, and stop playing after you cap out makes you 400200SP a week. So it'll take someone 52 weeks to get everything proto, if you ignore all the double and triple SP events, that in October and November you were getting an extra 3000-6000+ SP a day from the "event" bonus.
lol and who spec's into things like the scanning skills and kinetic catalyzation, melee amps, cardiac regulation, CPU and PG upgrades to 5. repairtool, nanocircutry, and uplinks.
17 million and you can run whatever you want- that's roughly the SP accumulated by new players that started in June that hit the SP cap each week and have not used boosters.
Oh NO! someone has 30 million SP, that means they have the option to run a variety of prototype suits and prototype weapons I'm s scared because I only use 1 suit, 1 sidearm, and 1 light weapon.
DUST might be an SP game, but that game ends when you get to half of what I have now.

We run bpo's and adv gear and most of us are above 25 mil sp. We save the proto for FW or those "special" matches. But as Nav said people have the right to run it if they can, it's a personal choice on what to run. Sucks for new players but until ccp fixes matchmaking, such is life. However, when you step away from the proto and run a bpo or standard suit for a couple weeks, it makes you more cautious and even more deadly when you need to run the top shelf gear.

If you're posting because of the events last night. I can assure that even had we been running militia the result would been just the same. Most of the players in our squads have been or are in A- Team PC teams. We had a perfect mixture of logi, slayer, and pilot

CCP Should give us a Veteran game mode.
AND Make Vets WANT to play it.
1. A way to get Vets to WANT to do it is to Increase the payouts ATLEAST Isk payouts for said game mode.
2. Make a minimum SP Requirement for the game mode say 10mill SP? By 10mill MOST players will have the proto gear needed to compete on somwhat equal ground.
Just a thought
Figured instead of trying to get noobs into the training match crap, just give Vets a place to actually have GOOD matches outside of PC with skilled players. |

1) I have 0SP invested in AR 2) I did not spec' into assault suits until I already had a Scout and a Logi 3) I have Gallente Assault lvl 1 and have only had it since the Vehicle Respec'
I'll do better in a Dragonfly Assault with 'Toxin' Assault Rifle with nothing else equiped that most people I come across. I only need 2 basic shield extenders, 1 basic armor plate, and 1 basic repair tool to deal with proto suits.
I've got a second character, only 9.2 million SP. I have no trouble keeping up with people I know have over 25m SP in pubs or PC.
I've got a third alt That only has 2.5 million SP, I have no trouble coming out on top of the killboards at the end of a pub running just Medic [STARTER FIT] and replacing the MLT Nanite Injector with a A-45 Active Scanner.
Only exception is when a tank dominates the field. which has been every ******* game this past week.

QFT, yoh. It's all about match-making.
Also. skill level plays a big part in all of this. Not just money. I could've had 10 Billion right now with a 20 Mil SP(I have 15 Mil SP right now...) but I'd still be the same player I am now.
People cry and moan and ***** but the way I see it, Dust has a ceiling when it comes to SP's effect on battles. Once you spec out your AR and it's Proficiency and your Gallente assault you can't really go pass that. I'm sitting on my SP right now just spending it on solidifying what I already have or testing new crap. 15-20-30 it doesn't matter that much other than adaptability and even then that still doesn't play enough of a role to provide constant stomps. At some point, it's not the Skill Points, it's the Skills.

I am a good player and I want to see more competition in games, rather than which side has SP and can afford to run the better gear, most of the time
I get we all have the equipment unlocked and want to use it, but 80% of the matches don't involve fighting, it's just one-sided farming
Last time we met, Cubs your guys owned us, me especially as I kept throwing myself at you's It was almost worth it for getting a few kills on that Regnum guy in his proto.. And unless you don't pay attention to killboard, this rebel scum has caused you trouble on plenty of occasions in pubs and FW,

Sometimes even if you have two Proto squads you'll end up loosing. But those battles are costly and bloody for both sides. But let me tell you this, those are the matches i look forward to everyday. honestly? no.
I haven't looked at the killboard in weeks. we WIN, I queue us for the next beatdown. rinse and repeat.
Yes some care bout KDR, while I ONLY care about W/L
I challenge anyone to go up against us in only MLT/ADV gear and be successful.
and killing one or 2 of us once or twice in a match is not considered 'successful'
Win the match, then feel free to chest thump or whatever you enjoy.
Know this, almost all of the people I roll with don't even have a FITTING that isn't proto. Nothing against anyone, but isk doesn't matter to any of us, and we have invested time and SP to create the fittings we like, and shall therefore use them.

Look forward to those challenges, but after the loss I tried to find a reason, like my own squad not pulling their weight, so I take a gander at the killboard...

the other 11.... ZERO kills....ZERO

But those battles are costly and bloody for both sides. But let me tell you this, those are the matches i look forward to everyday. It's not fun using a duvolle on a starter fit. But the feeling you get when that cowbell rings on a Proto ?! Yummm.... P.s: Regnum would probably win that even if he was in a starter fit with that crew Reg would win with a min scout no modules, nades or sidearm and a Breach Flaylock

rarely, a team has to earn victory they just pay for it ...
It's the biggest reason this game may fail - it's let so many people have an unbeatable advantage which they will always abuse, until CCP recall the game
With a squad of seasoned players, coming up against the 30mil SP 'bitches/WP ho's' is rarely going to end well if there is more than 2/3 of them...
Imagine playing your first game of Dust against guys who cant step out of 100k suits
- I'm not trying to discredit anyone's ability but when there is a pack of you, there is no contest V a random team
For one, CCP will never simply "recall the game." It's not how they operate. That is one reason why the game might survive. They didn't drop EVE Online for Dust 514, they kept the old and expanded on it.
Furthermore, it's discouraging to start a game surrounded by people with so much more SP than you, but it's also encouraging you to stay when you have accumulated so much SP. It's a two-way street. As people with SP get sick of the game and quit and more people join the game with no SP the playing field is generally leveled.
Also, specialization is key when using SP, and enhanced gear can win in many PC matches with good leadership. |

The game doesn't balance out the scale is in favor of beta testers or those who started in January everyone agrees there should have been something in place for users starting this game after june roll over sp a booster system for new people anything to keep them interested maybe if they made a alternate way of gaining sp like every other mmo idk=ƒÖê=ƒÖë=ƒÖè |

Going to stay out of AV/V debates, better for my sanity.
