Also you probably haven't heard the story about the Amarrian TV clown and the hostage crisis have you?

I must ask thou. What is that show about that has so many people hooked up? Why does it look so...girly yet so many males watch it?
Im confus.
Good character development, good writers, and lots of pop culture references. It's like a Pixar movie on steroids.

There are in fact many different gender neutral cartoons directed at audiences of different age groups, and even more still with barely visible lines drawn around the target audience such as many Anime.
The thing is, it isn't just any old gender neutral cartoon. My Little Pony has a very obvious and specific target audience, namely, prepubescent girls.
One must seriously question grown men not only being entertained by it, but, and especially, developing a "Fandom" for the show.

Every childrens cartoon has to appeal to both its target audience and the parents they know will be possibly watching it with the children. Hence why in Pixar and Disney film you see such references/ jokes that are above the general understanding of the children the cartoon is targeting.
E.G- Blatant eurocentrism in Disney's Aladin, the **** reference in the Lion King, jokes from A Bug's Life referencing Hamlet.
Children have no real concept or idea these things even exist. Just like MLP it has aspects of it designed to appeal to an older male or female audience, in this case, unexpectedly, the appeal to the male audience was greater than had been anticipated in a younger demographic.

Yes but that doesn't change the fact that the larger proportion of military combat personnel are male, and that the paradigm for such is embodying more masculine tenets, or tenets than men strive to achieve.
I have no doubt that women are increasingly joining the militaries of nations, and are not necessarily of the masculine archetype. But it still doesn't change that most soldier are male, and historically have been so.

Oh, no argument whatsoever there. Men, by the nature of their physiology are generally more suited to the physical demands which infantry combat requires.
I'm also not arguing that masculinity should be some completely misogynistic philosophy. On the contrary, masculine men experience worries, fears, joy, pain, love, friendship, and many other facets of life, but express these much differently than our counterparts.
Truly masculine men are not properly portrayed in today's society. Instead anything "masculine" is portrayed as brutish, unfeeling, and crude, which is just not realistic.
Example: The very old saying "men don't cry". This is complete and utter garbage! Masculine men do cry, and it is perfectly natural. Masculine men, however do not typically cry for some of the minor reasons, or to the degree one would see the typical effeminate archetype do so, at the very touching, heartfelt part of the "chick flick" for instance, one will many times see the woman quite visibly sobbing, while the man simply wipes a tear or two away, blaming it on dry eyes. Stereotypical example, yes, but honest and illustrative nonetheless.
