That would be a nice forum update imo.
The EVE forums already have this built in where you can read and compose in game mail from the forums. Contracts can also be set up on the EVE forums which would be a nice addition to the DUST forums once the player market is implemented.

Agreed. Particularly since composing mail on the PS3 is such a complete and awkward pain!!!
If we had mail access from a web browser, even if I was logged into DUST on the PS3, I would still go to my computer to send a mail. It would be a big buff to the Meta Game.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else, there is the Learning Coalition.

What is really needed is a way to create contacts from Mail contacts. If you have a friend you know, the only way of getting him or her in your contacts list is to either get put in a game with them, or find them on a high-score chart, as far as I can tell..
If they could simply send you mail, and you add to contacts... then done... that would be so much simpler. Am I missing something?

I use this all the time on my EVE character, but how many DUST players want to pay $15 per month and create an EVE character just for web access to in game mail?

I haven't encountered the character limit. Because of the way mails are delivered, I purposefully keep my messages short enough to be readable. I'll also split what would be a long-winded message into multiple mails, each making its own concise point. It's the difference between my corp saying "What's wrong with you? We're not going to read that massive wall of text" and "What's wrong with you? Stop spamming Corp Mail" GÇö but actually reading them.

This goes back to a NEOCOM on your mobile device or via a web app. Huge fan of this and would be a really nifty thing for the community. Honestly, would be nice if they could merge more and more of these functions so your Dust and Eve tools were all in the same package. |

One of those things I don't understand why they don't just turn on. They don't need a new site for it, people could use the PSN login to log in at the EVE Gate. (Note that EVE/DUST site cross-login kinda works already, I've generated a DUST character's API key before, though it doesn't actually work.)
It'd provide a massive benefit to us logistically, without having to develop anything new.

As I recall someone at fanfest once said that 'eve' gate would be the main way that Capsuleers and mercs would communicate in the early development of DUST.
EVE Gate by the way refers to a wormhole that opened up and people got trapped on the wrong side so DUST gate wouldn't be necessary(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM8gHCWs_o0).
Perhaps a DEV could drop in and let us know what's happening with DUST chars in EVE gate? They are part of the same database so why not? I might crosspost this to the eve forums as well... as I don't know if the evegate devs check the dust forums.
Anyone getting annoyed by reading of the above post should consider the following.
I don't care so neither should you :)
