Has anyone heard about the Contribution Tab? Maybe it's something they're working on.

Did you count 66 bars or 30 for days in the month. Wouldny be smart to have 2000 members in that view. It's 66 alright. I wonder if when it gets to a certain point you are offered a zoom toggle. If not that makes this a difficult chart to use for somebody like Dust University. If each member does represent a bar, I wonder what the latency is going to be on switching between them.

Present it to them in an e-mail, both CPM and the developer who would be responsible for implementation to the UI. You've got a pretty solid graphic for it. Throw in some information as how you would see this applied to Dust, how the graph works, what graphics are representing what. Create a few more graphical concepts. Basically, you're making a portfolio for the idea. Imagine it's a project for your boss, aim for that level of quality. I can see that you're proud of the idea and it is a cool one, so I think you'll gain more traction if you present it as a whole concept. Thank you for the solid advice. I'll work on synthesizing the ideas from my existing suggestion topic in the feedback section. I have some nifty ideas for how the bar moves when you tap the L2 and R2 bumpers. Alas, I'll include it all in a write-up.

Yes, taping the L2 and R2 bumpers while selection of either (time set: day, week, month or lifetime) or (time unit: # value) is highlighted will slide the blue members bar either left or right in a nice swoosh motion that accordingly adjusts all data sets around it.

It's a feature I am strongly interested in as it would add a tremendous level of value to the game, albeit subtle.

If we could set up the right endpoints in CREST and have a API key management system for this data, this might be able to get off the ground relatively quickly.

The Robot Devil wrote:Just because there is no news or dev comment doesn't mean that they didn't notice or aren't coding it right now. I understand that one person doing it seems fast but that isn't coding it into the game. One thing that CCP could do that would help is to create a reasonable things list like in EVE. I think it worked well and it gave a more focused way for the community and CCP to interact.
I think that it is a great idea and a tool that some corps would use but we need to stay focused on things that bring content in and make the experience better. We need three more things before we start adding shinny stuff to the corp menus, we need more gear, more maps and a player trading/market for us to get lost in.
I agree that players, and myself, are incredibly hungry for the three course 'meaty' content types. There's still a powerful aspect to player retention that having a straightforward way to view one's contribution to the game would make all the difference. I am suggesting that all members have viewing access to records of each other corp member's Net Donations and Battle Taxes. Withdrawals would be reserved information to Accountants. I imagine it could also give some players a reason to keep grinding past their cap, or be more savvy in selling items to procure greater donation funds to bolster their position on the corp's MVP 'leader-board,' so to speak. To reiterate a point brought up on this topic: If you can visibly see that your actions matter and affect someone, or something, your going to develop a much longer term bond with a product and the community surrounding it.
Another good point was brought up.
NDA Approved wrote:A stats tracking system could also make corporate takeovers and thefts that much more painful to bear because a player has a greater sense of exactly how much of their time and energy they poured into a organization. Oh my, the tears and QQ would be that much sweeter

Wilhelm Klingspor wrote:Again, very nicely done, out of curiosity what happens when a corp has 66+ members, do you slide to the next window, or did i miss something? I think it' would make a fine addition, would make for some nice employee of the month stuff. The zoom feature comes into play once you exceed +100 members, or it could be based on a ratio of the graph size, which I think I like better. So at 100 players the tool lights turn on and allow you to fully zoom into see 25 members by pushing X, and triangle would zoom out.
I really like your employee of the month idea. Tools like this make that kind of recognition much more easier to manage.

I only thought that because it said Taxes N/A so I assumed that player would not be required to pay taxes for some reason (Donations being below it lead me to my conclusion). It would be great to see who is being value to the corp and who is not, it also helps you see who is active since I believed it was a day to day thing you can see how much ISK they netted the corp over a week, since it takes about 40 decent games to cap and a decent game is about 200k at a 10% tax rate they would net the corp about 800K a week if they capped neat way of monitoring people. P.S. Props on the Photo Shop. Thanks. Yeah, I still like to play up the light facade I've concocted for new people to thread that haven't caught on. The deal with the Battle Taxes field showing a non-value in that last picture is because I used Ancient Exiles. for that example which doesn't set a tax rate for their players, so no taxes are collected from battles. I can't speak for their internal management on player donations, so I just assumed that player do donate.
The L2 and R2 buttons change time selection from day, week, month, and lifetime. The number value for each of these categories can also be toggled with L2 / R2. This give corp management and players powerful tools to monitor each other and themselves. Besides withdrawal information and donations from outside benefactors, in-corp players will be able to see each other's battle taxes and net donations to the corp. This give players an incentive to bolster their contribution standings on the corporate 'leader board' in order claim the title of employee(s) of the month.

What we DO need an ingame representation of is ISK killed vrs. ISK spent in matches. Not on the afterbattle screen, as that's already crowded enough, but on your character sheet and in the leaderboards. ISK lost to ISK killed ratios, AUR killed, etc. So we just need to keep bugging CCP FoxFour on opening up an API login management system to access this private corp data somewhere in CREST.

Yes. +1 As for ISK and AUR killed, I'm curious how equipment would play into that bigger picture. Sure you can destroy those items, but if you don't kill the carrier, you have effectively "killed' the ISK or AUR source for that item. Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how people pad those scores for the leader boards.
