it feels like the amount of damage i recieve when my hardener is on is about the same % as back in uprising, a tiny bit less if anything.
a proto assault forge was a about 4-5 shots depending on build and proficiany of the user, now its about 5-7 shots depending on similar factors and tank build.
swarms do visably less damage to me now then they did pre 1.7 with the hardener on but do ALOT more damage then they used to when they hardener is off.
my old tank was a shield railgun, brick tanked with 2 azos a 15% and max passive resist.
so if the numbers are so similar with hardeners on why is it that tanks are so damn hard to kill now? im guessing it has something to do with tanks being able to SEE whats shooting at them now :P 1.0-1.6 AV crutch wasnt damage or range, it was invisability and now that the AVers dont have that they cant seem to kill tanks?
i can kill tanks with nothing but STV packed av REs and proxies....
why cant you kill it with weapons that do similar damage (in relation to percent of total health) then they did before?

Because Remote Explosives aren't purely av designated, and there nature makes them incredibly useful at burst damage! As for your observations I observed 5 people come at me with mlt swarms, I didn't even bother using the hardner!
exactly, you actually saw them :P they lost the element of surprize, they probably diddnt even get to start shooting at you before you saw them :P
in 1.6 they could just spam away and be invisable, always having the element of surprize and their positions were never revealed, alowing them to spam without the tank being able to retaliate.
now the tanks can not only see them coming, but can also retaliate, brace for hits, or start retreating fore the first shots are fired, all things that were not options pre 1.7
these things are the reasons AV is having trouble, AV relied on complete invisability for 6 months. and now are trying the same tactics only this time they are visable, and they are wondering why its not working, and are upset that they cant shoot at tanks with complete immunity anymore. |
