Because I stole my buddy's DUST toon.
In my defense, he started him over 11 months ago when we got out of training in MOS. I guess he never touched his toon again after we got that full respec, so... he had 8.7 MILLION unallocated SP. So, I... allocated some of it for him. 
I left 1.4 unallocated in waiting for the Gallente heavy to be released, but otherwise I maxed out all core skills for PG and CPU, and I maxed out armor tanking skills, including both repairers and plates. I opened up HMG's to level one, with max heavy weapon operation, and also skilled all the way to level 3 in dropsuit operation so I can skill straight into Gally fat suits when they're released... HOPEFULLY next month in 1.8.
With 1.4 million SP saved, I should at least be able to skill into ADV Gally heavies, and ADV HMG's. Does anyone have a good idea of what else to spend my SP on? I can almost definitely say I'm going to max out Nanohives, given that I know I won't always have a faithful Logibro to follow me around and watch my six. Anyone else have some useful heavy experience that can lead me in the right direction? |

Damage mods are a must, of course. They're expensive SP investments though, although worth it of course. I'm thinking profile dampeners or scan radius extension of some sort, both passive and modules.
As for equipment, I'm pretty sure the Gally heavy will have equipment available, on at least on the Commando variant. I think that when the rest of the racial suit variants are released, we will likely get a rebalance pass like they made with weapons, and HOPEFULLY (if somewhat unrealistically) we might get a skill tree respec for suits. Wishful thinking, I know, especially since they didn't respec weapons when they reworked literally every existing weapon in the game and added another 30% of the missing weapons, but a man can hope. Anyway, I'm betting that rebalance pass and my optimism for Gally commandos means that I'll be using hives on my heavy, which also leaves other equipment options open.
Keep the ideas coming! I don't think heavies are represented strongly enough. We need to get together and share secrets, and make each other stronger against the army of assault killers out there. Lol |
