"Oh my god I'm pooping, I'M POOPING!"
Guess who discovered the mCRU again, and after asking around found they don't require seats to work. I decided to build an mostly defensive Gunnlogi (Armor and Shield Hardener, reps for the lows etc) with just a normal blaster, and thought I'd take it out for a spin in Domination, which to me is the perfect location for something like this as you aren't able to spawn on points.
I'm going to say I've been having my best games with this setup, I'm able to combat most militia tanks and if someone good rolls out something I can run away and call out my better tanks and even if this one dies it only costs me 186,870 ISK.
It's a definite gamechanger since all the bluedots want to spawn close to the objective to continue dying, we could be losing and I roll up with this thing and suddenly, the sounds of cloaks turning of is constant. In the last game I played, Harvest Line, I rolled up by the Objective and defended it as best as I could, but the blue dots would continue spawning and no matter how hard the enemy infantry pushed, I was able to just send more Infantry out. That said, we almost got cloned lol.
I can see me using this a lot more often, AV wasn't much of a problem (don't get me wrong, they hurt) due to the fact I had a constant stream of Infantry rushing towards the enemy. If I want to push an area, I just drive a long and suddenly a squad is there ready to fight, it's wonderful.

I've been rolling around with a nitro/mCRU LAV for the past few games. It helps. Uplinks are stationary and can lead to spawn trapping- a mCRU can be used to work around it.
Imagine a six man transport vehicle with a mCRU. It'd be goddamn beautiful.

I used to try it with the speed LAV, but now Tanks can actually sit there and fight without getting three shotted, I can just drive up, park and take cover and deploy away.

I thought about this too.. ultimate support HAV - maddy with mCRU, blaster and scanner. Its not for fighting other tanks or infantry mainly, it should just have a huge tank and spawn/scan. :D

Yeah me and Sin from STB worked this formula out last night during Dom runs....no seats = infinite team spawns VS 2 seats = spawn til youre full and no more spawns lol....awesome tank is awesome. Between that and running a 3 man anti-everything tank full of AVers we had quite the run yesterday... |

Yeah, as long as you don't have turrets, they just drop out, it's great.

I just tried this, but with one small turret. Either I was driving right on top of uplinks I didn't see in the middle of the road, or people were able to spawn on top of /just outside my HAV despite having a turret (occupied).
RDVs are a failed experiment - can't we just remove them from the game?
