Before I give you my suggestion I have been thinking and reading allot on these forums and have read some interesting suggestions, one of the most interesting was what if the current vehicle balance is just testing what the effects of a fully maxed out pilot suit will be in a fully maxed HAV. This got me thinking ... what if here's the shocker we get a medium frame AV suit that say has designated bonuses related to that particular factions AV weaponry.
i.e. generivc AV bonus +2% to sidearm clip and damage per level ( this would help dedicated AV stand a chance against infantry.
Caldari AV fit bonus- =3% damage to missiles per level.
Gallente -- + 1 to hybrid av weponary clip size per level ( this would make the plasma cannon viable)
Ammar - ?????

you get my drift... this would not only balance vehicle warfair but also give av a chance when fighting infantry. This is all just a thought and needs/warrents discussion before posting in feedback/requests.

the heavy bonus is directed towards the ammar heavy weaponry coming SOONtm

See I would not have much of a problem with AV (swarms in particular) in it's current form if there was a suit that had bonuses specifically for it to bring the damage up to a decent level.
I think that is just good game design, and this thought should be mirrored across all of the suits present and future.

Given the current choice we have they seem reasonable.
3% damage boost to missile based weaponry is very good for caldari
the +1 clipsize I don't know this is more a PLC bonus as we don't know what other (light) hybrid AV weapons will come out...
I quite like the sidearm bonus it covers the main weakness of current AV...
The plasma cannon was origenally ment to be the gallente light av wepon but not many folks use it for its intended purpose so I thought the extra rounds in the clip would bring it to whare it should be. And the side arm bonus should help keep dedicated avera happy when it comes to defending themselves.

Just coming with stuff off the top of my head. . .
It would make AV a skillset and more of a primary role on the battlefield.
the problem with giving the ammar bonus to forges is this is for a medium frame av suit, as we only have the gallente and caldari light av wepons we should focus on them and when CCP releases the ammar and minimitar light av wepons we could have them factord into their specific av suits.
the Ammar sentinel bonus will make more sence when the ammar heavy wepons are released .

Yeah I know the PLC was announced as light AV weapon, but its not clear from its desricption and the way it works. Currently its more a giant on shot massdriver ;/. Don't get me wrong the bonus will work for the PLC but if you compare the bonus to the caldari one the caldari is much more general and will help even for any missile weapon apart the SL. So whenever CCP decides to introduce another Hybrid AV weapon your bonus may not work well...
hrm you do make a good point but I definitely think the gallentte av suit should have a bonus geared towards hybrid weaponry, what about a hybrid weaponry reload speed bonus say 20% per level ? as it would suit the gallente primary choice of hybrid weaponry and their attack philosophy of hit hard and fast.
