1. It doesn't really matter, as the system doesn't determine function and for anything but local chat and inventory.
2. CCP is lazy, they don't want to spend resources on a station moving mechanic. Mostly because of reason #1.
What's the difference between an immobile Minmatar ship and a pile of garbage?
The pile of garbage looks nicer.

Once location actually becomes important, I'm sure CCP will add the ability to change station. Until then, however, I doubt it's going to happen. I want it to happen, but it's less important than other things at the moment.

Really? Then you're making this out to be a lot more difficult a problem than it really is.

I've played EVE since 2010, and I've done my fair share of corporate recruitment, so why are you telling me I don't understand? There's obviously no way you could tell whether or not I've played EVE just from what I say, right? If you could, you would know I'm a big fan of EVE, and that I would have turned my nose up at Dust 514 had I not played EVE.

It was never my intention to criticize this suggestion, I was just informing you of why it won't be happening soon.
