I see that "you have been scanned" msg a lot, also I die alot, it couldn't possibly be my armor tanked assault rifle fit, I'm just guna keep doing the same thing though. Maybe if all of us 14 year old girls squeal together loud enough ccp will get rid of all this pesky competition and tactics nonsense.

Just get profile under advanced scanners and have a fun time. Still not viable when the gallogis pull out their proto scanners though. Those gallogis, something should be done about them they are like heavies and render scouts useless... =) What's not to love about the scrambler rifle, the thing is a precision weapon and at the same time a shotgun.

The logi subject is muddy water, since there's nothing to counter the argument "then use an armor killer against Gallente" and "then use a shield killer against Caldari". The scanners have always been an unnecessary addition to equipment in my opinion, but there's a reason that there's profile dampeners. But... sometimes my Shotgun refuses to work properly when I do get the jump on my opponents while using a scanner. I can be all like, "Imma sneak up and blast that entire squad away like a pro!" I fire my first shot: 1 down. I fire my next shot: "Wtf, that was at point blank range and didn't register!" I fire my next shot while bunny hopping for dear life: "Okay, I got this!" What people don't seem to realize about dampening is that when dampened, you have to be the aggressor and strike first. If you stick with the rest of your team and they get scanned while you are near, then you might as well not run dampeners and trade them in for HP. Dampening gives you the advantage of being able to flank freely and hide while the enemy passes you by; use this to pick them off without the main enemy body knowing you are there. If you don't, then they are wasted. And whatever you do, don't trade rounds with an enemy that has more HP than you, if that person sees you first. Your advantage is surprise - run away and lay an ambush, so you can get them down to 1/2 or 1/4 health before they know where you're shooting from.

Yeah of course, it's easily worked around, but in general pub matches you don't get that organisation, or in faction warfare (for the most part).
