Except that attribute remaps are not even remotely similar to a skillpoint respec.
Also search function.

The problem is that they're no going to do what people expect them to do.
At best, assuming a one year cooldown they won't break the game too badly because barely anyone will play to see even their second one. But a few 100k SP retrieved for those who are in a bad spot now are no match for the tenths of millions of the instaproto juice that is their remaining SP after speccing in their primary role.
Imagine all those who could use their respec right now, go gal logi RR and still have around 20m SP to spend on the hottest toys over the year. That's quite a few people who in principal could do this.
Totally what new players need i'm tellin' ya.
I didn't mean to be (overly) offensive but there's someone having the exact same idea (including the, tbf. false remap analogy) every day.
Edit: I know what pops up, A whole swath of respec threads, most of which are using some form of the "people learn" and/or "balance kittened me over" gambits.
The first is true but see above. The second will only get worse since easier change -> higher performance pressure -> raw SP count becomes even more dominant & gear imbalances get amplified.

Like I said, no one should get one. Was only thinking there might be a way. I'm confident that, once CCP changes the logistics bonuses to proper logistics bonuses, despite not even being a nerf per say, we'll get a huge outcry about "people learning" and "balance screwing them over". Then you'll see who really wants respecs and why.
As a cal logi who got both his tac ar and frame "nerfed" twice (didn't care, really): I'm already preparing the tear collecting vials.
And of course there is a way. CCP puts them in, done. The important part though is whether this is a sensible thing to do in the first place. A popular idea is not automatically a good idea.
