The Knight Lords are recruiting. You can become one. Search KnightLords under corp search to find us.
Selection
Anyone, regardless of skill points or mic status may become a Knight Lord, however you must be 18 to join. I would love to include persons who speak Spanish, but I do not speak it well enough yet. If you speak English at least on the level of a 5th Grader, you are accepted.
You decide your own level of involvement. As such, I've instituted a simple system of statuses. More below:
Squires
New prospective members. We aren't gonna haze you, but until you get above 2m points, I'll consider you as a trainee. After that, you can decide if you want to be an Errant or a Knight.
Errant
Like to do your own thing? That is fine by us. Simply put, your a member of the Lords, but you aren't expected to do anything. In truth, you get to enjoy our company, have a friendly chat, and have a team to root for.
Knight
If you take this route, you are assigned to a squad and given a rank. You are expected to show up for squad training, within reason, and corp matches/training. All Knights should get mics if possible, and you can never advance to Knight Captain without having a Mic.
Knightly Ranks:
Third Knight- This rank is for the newest Knight to have joined a squad. Roughly equivalent to a Private in the US Army.
Second Knight- This rank is for a seasoned Knight in a Squad. Roughly equivalent to a PFC in the US Army.
First Knight- This rank is veteran Knights in a Squad. Roughly equivalent to a SPC in the US Army.
Knight Captain- The first form of leadership, Knights in this position must have Mic. This person's leadership role is both similar to an E5 and an E7 in the Army, if you are familiar. The Knight Captain's squad functions as an independent unit of five plus himself. He sets training time, and gets contact information with all Knights in his squad. He grooms his First Knight to fill a secondary leadership role in the squad, and possibly his own squad in the future.
Knight Commander As I have yet to experience PC or any large scale corp workings, this position is reserved for someone who functions as the commander of an entire force on a single battlefield. Also, can expect to fill administrative needs for the corporation. I suppose this person might be equivalent to something between an O1 and an O3. Again, the analogy to Army ranks breaks down around here.
Knight Marshal A position reserved for senior persons who help fill administrative and planning roles. At this rank and beyond, we will take extreme measures to verify a person and their willingness to meet the needs of the corp. I am not adverse to phone conversations and in-person meetings to discuss the future of the corp.
Tactical Paradigm
I sense the a debuff stomp coming for tanks. However, even before the current iteration, I had focused Knight Lords to be a tanker corp. This still applies. Each squad will have at least one dedicated tanker, a secondary LAV driver, and four auxiliary roles. Tactics and planning beyond this are still in the works, and I wont be discussing them here.
That is my vision. Feel free to post questions here, or apply right away.
If you do apply, please put your Timezone, call-sign (if your name is crazy gibberish), and mic status in your application file. Thanks for the interest. See you on the field.
