Good Forge Gunner waits lets someone else trigger hardeners on the enemy tank, waits it out, then pops up and slaughters as the cooldowns are kicking in.
A good Swarm user can solo a cheap Madrugar or Soma fit if they're smart about how they do it and the tanker allows themselves to be baited. Worst-case scenario for a skilled AV player should be area denial. The enemy tank has to keep distance if you're doing your job well. You don't necessarily get kills, but you control the battlefield. If they bring back vehicle damage WP, this should work out nicely. |

If they bring back vehicle damage WP, this should work out nicely. Why would you bother to put up the ISK and effort against something that costs less ISK and effort to run? Why would you sit around all game being "area denial" against someone who loses virtually nothing if they fail? Outside of PC, I fail to see the logic behind this. If you're running a good tank, it'll cost more than a decent AV fitting. If you're running a cheap tank, there's a good chance that a similarly-priced AV fitting can kill you.
Also, running a 200k ISK AV fitting and killing MULTIPLE 70k tanks will quickly end with you destroying more than your fitting costs. Your infantry keeps enemy infantry at bay, killing at best, or at least forcing them to stay away from your AV, while your AV prevents enemy tanks from getting kills, and occasionally get their own. Sounds like you're doing the same job with different enemies if they fix TTK the way most people seem to want. |

Lol You know that with 3 Hardeners, you not only have more hardeners than a Sica has high OR low slots, but you also have enough hardeners to keep one up at all times without needing a window of vulnerability. |
