When they are either drunk or high?
I've been drinking and just went 11/8 not the best but whatever. Good to me. 22/2 only happens every 100 years for me.
Back on topic!
Who plays better with a drink and or drug in their system. I know for a fact when I play with a drink that I'm better. Something about my subconscious mind being awesome and stuff(hurray jazz guitar for opening up my mind). Playing with a few drinks makes everything slow down at the perfect speed and I think differently, as well as play differently. Only time I've done well without a drink is when I first wake up in the morning and put on Dust. |

So true! I do better with a drink. Less is on my mind. More tactical and thinking outside the box. |

It's opposite. Me and semi automatic while sober and non sober are a match made in heaven.
I do enjoy enemy tank surfing both sober and non sober. |

Blues wise I like Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix(more rock than blues) and Frank Zappa(more free jazz than blues). |

A lot of mid-century greats there! Have you heard Joe Pass, Tal Farlow, Jim Hall (who just passed away), or Herb Ellis? Into any more "modern" players like Bill Frisell, Ben Monder, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Wayne Krantz, Charlie Hunter? Too bad this is all kinda off-topic, I'm fighting the urge to go on a proper ramble (and don't even get me started on other genres)!
Hehe I need to listen to some more modern guys and yeah I know about Joe Pass and Jim Hall. I've heard of Herb Ellis somewhere but I can't remember.
Lately I've just been trying to woodshed John Mayer and Albert King. I definitely want to get back into shedding some jazz. I've been too lazy. |
