It sounds like you got more communication from ANON than we had in our own corp. Anyway, I appreciate the retaliation that was, in part perhaps, on our account.
I'm hearing from DDB and AE that it took a little adaptation to beat 0.H, and we were certainly going through the same. 0.H had a pretty different way of fighting in PC, it seemed. It was actually an enjoyable challenge. I gotta say, though, that I think that was the failing test of ANON. I don't think I've seen any corp so appose to change in all of my time of playing this game. Some leaders were so frustrated that they thought the solution was to take all the isk and elite players and try to make an even more elite and pure group.
Credit to you guys for surviving change. |

Credit to you guys for surviving change. So are you for or against change Joe? I can't tell by your comments. On one hand you commend OP for changing tactics. On the other, you condemn us for cutting our losses and moving on. Both are forms of change. Remember, we didn't retreat. We're just attacking from a different direction. Tickle My Null Sac was not started to be "elite". If it was I wouldn't be in it... lol. You've dropped your ANON tags too (like so many others) so drop the self righteous talk bud. I wish you luck in your future endeavors and I hope to see you on the battlefield! edit: Also, you were brought in right from the beginning to talk things over before we all left ANON. You chose not to leave with us. BUUUUUT, you could have filled people in back in Anon Brotherhood chat what the heck was going on. We could have also. But you are equally to blame because you said nothing. You knew what was going on before Harlequin even did. Things could have went very different if you would have stepped up and said something. Just food for thought for next time. I seriously have nada against you or anyone else in ANON, but I hate that we are getting painted as bad guys when that is just not the case.
Harley was told from the start that you guys were making off with that isk. When I left that meeting to join the brotherhood coms I entered to find that they were in the middle of a conversation of someone spilling the beans. It was someone from that meeting stating very clearly and with plenty of fervor exactly what he heard. Harley just told him that the isk was safely in his wallet, as trap had done, and that things were just fine. I believed him. I don't know why he lied. Maybe he did have a little isk there or he just had a great deal of trust in his leaders and just wanted to sooth his member's concerns, but he was told and did nothing. I was pretty open after that, and somewhat relieved that I didn't have to be the one to decide to stay quiet or not. People had questions as to where everyone was and why we weren't organizing fights. I told them they were planning on how they were going to leave the corp. Said it many times. If you don't believe me then get confirmation from someone in that channel at the time, perhaps Harley even? I didn't want to go to Tickle My Null-Sac for my own reasons.
If Tickle My Null-Sac wasn't meant to be an elite corp then I'm sorry I assumed so. I drew that conclusion simply from all of the talk in that meeting about ANON not being what it once was and trying to rekindle the same strong team that it once had. I stayed in that meeting as long as I did to try to understand, to the best of my ability, why it was happening and I still failed to comprehend the reason.
Reason given in your post; "Cutting our losses." What did we lose? Was it the war or something else? It surely wasn't the war, I can say that for certain. Even if we did lose all of our districts, I'm sure our alliance might help us recoup some of the losses as it would bring about massive acquisitions of territory, which is what happened after all. We didn't lose as a corp. Our goals were to keep our home planet and not worry as much about the districts we took from TSOLE. This was a well known goal and our home planet of, if I'm not mistaken on the number, was 11 districts, was in no way near jeopardy. We were defending them from the other corps and 0.H never touched them, in fact, we beat a team of 0.H fair and square, and most of the other battles were very close. There weren't even that many battles. We didn't lose the war.
Am I for or against change? Everything always changes. You either change with it or die. That is adaptation. Anonymous didn't adapt, so it died. That's all I said, not that I was against change. It is easy to say that ANON still lives, in some way, shape, or form, but it doesn't. It was a corporation with a community, assets, allies and friends, and an eve fleet. Now it's an assortment of independent corporations that are a long way from PC capable. All associations to the name die with the name. The community is split and arguing like right here, and we all disappeared from PC. Something is certainly dead.
Attacking from a different direction? This post is already too long to continue... |
