So I thought about how you get basically nothing from Factional warfare (https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1606231#post1606231), and how there's tiers. How bout CCP changes it slightly so you can unlock tiers, rather than leveling up?
How this would work is that every time you unlock a tier you have the choice of joining a higher tier game, in which the pay is higher but the losing pay is lower, where tier 10 pays out 1mill~ ISK equiv. for a win, but nothing at all for a loss, but at tier 1 you get around 30k~ ISK equiv. whether you win or lose.
This would allow people who want to PC practice do so at tier 10 standings, and they can happily and expectantly use proto gear, but at tier 1 standings its basically useless using proto gear.
And obviously keep the 25% equipment recovering thing, but TBH I would rather a manual equipment salvaging system but thats for another thread. |

But FW is the part of New Eden. FW is step forward to good connection between mercs and capsuleers. You cant be serious. |

Whats the issue with my proposition? |

Could you explain that again? I'm not quite following the difference mechanically between unlocking tiers and leveling. I'm not so worried about payment ratios, so no need for specifics there.

We would now have around 24 possible queuing modes then even further dividing the community to about 100 people per queue. You would play the exact same people over and over and over. |

Level up means that go from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5, but cannot go back. With Unlocking you CAN go from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5, but can choose what to use / play.

Sure, I don't see why not. Just cause I can run a lvl 4 mission for Amarr Navy doesn't mean I should be kept from running a lvl 3.
