Dogfights are hard, take a shitload of time and only get you 150 points if you win. in the other side.. if you dont attack your fellow pilots you can get a **** ton of kills because you are killing infantry

Because its fun, on my dropship alt, my list of targets prioritized are 1) other dropships 2) Tankers 3) infantry

I don't. I tend to ignore them. I played dodge with a militia DS today. let him try to ram me then moved out the way. In the end i let him him he ti see how the collision damage is this build.

i try to avoid it, i mean i'll send some shots his way to get him off my squad but i'm more than happy to ignore him other wise.

I will ignore them unless they harass me. As you say, dogfights are a waste of match time. |

Dog fights are much harder in this build with resists and all. If I really wanted to fight dropships I'd sec into an incubus, rail incbus are pure vehicle killers, espically python killers. Mostly I engage dropships and chase then into the red then swoop back in to assist the ground. Dogfights can be very entertaining tho! |

It's unfortunate but it seems to me that dogfights have become about 10x harder since they added ammo and made shield reps go up at 244/sec, and relatively the same with active armor modules. Now, even though i land every single hit on them even with a complex missile damage amplifier, proto-tanked dropships rarely go down just because of me.
So pre 1.7 i would say dogfights aren't a waste of time at all, but now in post 1.7 I'd have to agree, usually you never get to kill the other pilot because they run away or rep in time. |
