Do not use remote explosives on enemy tanks because it will kick you from FW once you get back to The Merc quarters it says you were kicked from battle because of friendly fire

I guarentee you I was the first to learn that. Game three stuck an RE to the wall. WENT NUTS!!! And Kujo and Grease made the first taxi bomb.
Next time you see me, bring more friends.

If you got banned then you likely did alot of friendly damage in the process. You have to be very careful however since friendlies can detonate the RE's & kill themselves at your expense.
Edit: Do not leave RE's on the ground, detonate them if you do. There are griefers out there who will drop a bunch of uplinks & nanohives around it & then suicide & insta kick you. I have manage to use RE's in FW but only as a CQ AV weapon. I wouldn't leave them where friendly griefers can get to them |

So does detonating remote explosives themselves cause friendly fire? What I mean is, if you went out into an empty field, placed a bunch of RE's on the ground (enough to do more than 5000 damage), ran a safe distance away, then detonated, would you still get kicked?
I'm thinking that each time an RE explodes, it does 1500 damage to the RE because the RE is considered to be equipment. Since the RE is doing damage to itself, and because the RE is "friendly", the program considers it to be friendly fire. |

It is either griefers or an unlucky coincidence.

If you attach more than one on a tank and detonate the first, it will damage the others If they are too close together and therefore you can get banned from FW... |

I'm a scout, so only 1 equipment slot. But to be clear, I would run up behind the tank & drop 3 RE's on it's @$$, then toss all my AV nades(did not detonate the RE's, IDK maybe I was lucky) then detonated the RE's after their hardener expires. |

you can use them on tanks, it just needs to be seperate sides of the tank, and not within their own blast radius |
