I don't blame the players, well I'm just disappointed, no more strategy guys, let's just spawn Orbs and Tanks, Yay.
I don't blame one side or the other, but let's see how this is going to affect you and the side you are fighting.
1.- Both sides will get bored out of PC
2.- No more competition, just team with less lag and using more glitches wins.
3.- No more respect for gun game, or support gun game.
4.- Roles, what roles?
5.- Are you going to be happy playing end-game with a bunch of scrubs?
I've lost all respect for many players I used to look up to, no other war has been so frustrating than this one, players do not count, strategy doesn't count, just glitches and lag.

Sadly I have to agree. dropping an ob on the first 5 seconds on every other pc game is just pathetic. CCP is promoting spawn killing before the game even starts -.-
Pc is becoming more and more of a joke. If it was not for he isk that districts generate, I doubt anyone would even give a flux about pc.

My point, I was really looking out to face the best players in this game and then I just find a bunch of scrubs in tanks and orbs hitting my team at deploying point.
Pretty disappointed.

It's ******* stupid....I also don't like the idea that another game can impact a war or battle on dust. I would understand if dust players can affect the outcome of wars in eve but we can't.
More ways to take the fps skill out an fps game.

It's great to see Eve having a stronger effect in this game.......but who the hell allowed it to become THIS?
Instantaneous OBs on spawn point? It's not survival of the fittest at the moment, it's survival of the Eve spammers.
Maybe this will just encourage Dusters to become friends with Corps Eve side, but for the moment all it allows for is the Big Corps to become bigger and the small Corps to walk away from PC.
Why is it the ladies in Dust seem to have more Testosterone than most of the Estrogen fueled whiners in here?

The new strategy now is to ob ground spawn or wait for them to hack their home point to drop it while your own dropship is on its way to enemy home to take it before they even get a chance too..

Once you connect to the district, a timer on the district satellite begins. Once that timer finishes, you have an orbital available.
You can connect to the district before the match even starts.

What are you talking about no Eve support? We've had Eve support since PC started, its just the orbitals were always earned on the ground. Its not like they didn't announce that the change was coming. Eve side has ALWAYS been able to connect to the district as soon as warbarge opened up. Not my problem is other people stick their heads in the sand and refuse to listen to what they've been told.
TL;DR Don't ***** at the Devs for something they flat out told you was going to happen. |

The player has to be in your corp or alliance in order to drop OBs I think, but as far as keeping the pilot dropping the OBs safe, that's another story.

Free orbitals by merely having a pilot show up is ridiculous. My understanding was three minutes orbit time to earn the right to drop orbitals, instead having them launch every three minutes is literally game breaking. Every 180 seconds in a 20 minute fight, then whats the point of DUST if you don't have an extensive eve fleet ready?
That said, paradox's approach to our last training pc battle with them was to spam madrugars, so i have no idea what they're complaining about in terms of tactics.
Do you remember all those modded controllers and the tactical duvolles?

The planets exist in the EVE universe and affect it, albeit in a small, almost meaningless way under the current bonuses and the way they apply.
If you want to be shielded from EVE influence, you can stick to Pubs where the big bad ships in space can't touch you. As it stands now, a really good force on the ground can hold what they own, but a less skilled force, with EVE ties, can make a much larger dent than before. I hope CCP keeps pushing down this road and open up possibilities of even more strikes and other abilities (scan the surface, repair friendly MCC, drop additional players into the match or clones into the clone reserves) that benefit those with EVE-side connections.

There isn't a way to transfer ISK between games, so most EVE organizations wouldn't really care to help out with your cause in Dust. CCP is hinting at a way to set standings and allow corporations with good standings to bombard for you, which will mix things up a bit, but that isn't implemented yet.
The three simplest options available to you right now would be to create an EVE character (even a 14 day trial) and use it exclusively for bombardments, or have your corporation join an Alliance with EVE connections (I might know of one ), or find a hybrid EVE/Dust corporation that is willing to stuff an EVE alt into your corp and is happy to take Dust ISK in exchange.

I don't blame one side or the other, but let's see how this is going to affect you and the side you are fighting.
1.- Both sides will get bored out of PC
2.- No more competition, just team with less lag and using more glitches wins.
3.- No more respect for gun game, or support gun game.

5.- Are you going to be happy playing end-game with a bunch of scrubs?
I've lost all respect for many players I used to look up to, no other war has been so frustrating than this one, players do not count, strategy doesn't count, just glitches and lag.

It's awesome... Props to all the EvE guys. I can't stop laughing when that happens. Those OBs are like 4th of July fireworks. |
