What do you guys think?
This is just an idea so please don't go all verbal Rambo on me.
This could help deal with the extremely effective logi slayers. It would also provide a way for logis to still do much loved form of combat instead of forcing sidearms only on them. Light would fit in medium slots.
Heavy: FG, HMG.
Medium: MD, PLC, maybe SL?
Light: Lasers, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, others...
Sidearm: All current
Undecided: All forms of Assault Rifles.
DS weapon access-
Heavy frames: Heavy-Sidearm
Assault frames: Medium-sidearm
Commando frames: Medium-sidearm
Logistics frames: Light-sidearm
Scout and other future light frames: Medium-sidearm
No suit would have access to both medium and light slots. As a compromise for possibly removing AR forms from the logi I think giving them sidearm slots would be logical.
Please share you ideas.
I also strongly support the required equipment slots idea. however one or the other, not both, is what I support.

Maybe, but they wouldn't be able to switch to an AR build so they would be stuck at long range or next to their co-combatants. So long as the laser remains a light. When I chose light and medium weapons I took into account there actual difficulty to carry.
So that brings up the issue if the combat rifle should remain a light as well. Seeing as how it looks like the lightest to carry out of all the ARs.
I think logis should only be able to carry literally light weapons because logis should or are supposed to be carrying a lot of gear.
I put scouts as being able to carry medium-sidearm because of the lack of gear they carry already. (I honestly think scouts should have 2 equipment slots at advanced, but that's another subject)
BTW I am proto Amarr Logi and fully view logis as OP.
