I almost single-handedly defended an objective in FW because everyone would die to my Rail Rifle before getting there. And they could not touch me due to the range I could engage at. And to top it off, the regular variant is cheaper. For more enclosed maps or areas, I will break out the assault Rail Rifle. The regular variant is not very good in CQC. High accuracy does not work well in CQC (ask any of the other remaining HMG heavies).
