I loved this game but 1.7 has been a huge disappointment to me, I thought it would make the game a lot more interesting but it seems to have had the reverse affect for me. unfortunately I now find it pretty tedious and this week may be the first time for me not to cap out my SP's ( I have normally done it in 2-3days).
is it just me or are more people feeling like this? |

Same boat. Used to play exclusively in FW before the patch, but now that I've been booted twice for "friendly fire" without actually harming a teammate (enemy CRU and enemy tank, respectively) my only option is to play public skirmish matches...which is where all of the squads are protostomping to offset the ISK they lose in FW. At this point, I'm just logging on for the daily bonus and then leaving the game.
Life is killing me.

I like this patch, actually interacting with eve players on non-bs conversation. very cool and I count it as a good start towards the link we were looking for.
New weapons are cool.
New adjustments to sockets on existing maps is cool.
Tanks being a prominent force is cool.
good job CCP, just adjust those LP point gains and allow me to kill friendly useless snipers and I'll be happy.

I have nothing to complain about, that wasn't an issue before. But then again I haven't used RE's or PE's yet on this patch, which are used pretty frequently by me. And I know that a lot of people have experienced troible with it as well as the issue has been acknowledged by CCP.
I'm staying for the long haul, still waiting for the rebirth of the Scout Dropsuit. |

Tanks, tanks, tanks!! 1.7 patch is good, fixed many bugs but tanks prices are too low and has turned the game into a war of tanks. I will not be mentioning rail rifles damage power as everyone knows it needs nerfing.. Just sort the tank issue and it will be ok.. |

Agreed, only logging in now to keep my 6000 bonus up and play FW because of the extra salvage in the gamemode. However once I get kicked from FW for some BS reason as I inevitably do because of how broken it is, I consider that enough to be done with DUST for the day,

I'm back to AFK'ing my alts in the MCC, not from 1.7, because CCP has done absolutely nothing to curb the rampant pub stomping. I don't have any interest in getting an RR enema from 80m away so I'll sweep the MCC floors for awhile. I suppose I could noob it up in a Sica but I don't really have much interest in vehicles atm. |

They're supposedly fixing the ff issues come Tuesday, let us hope
Other than that, I'm loving this update now the tank spam has slowed and I've got used to having less aim assist

I've used REs once in this patch and got kicked for it from what I can only assume is a grenade caused it to kill someone because I saw 2 explosions before I was kicked

I'm actually playing beyond my cap for once, so no. Of course, I'm a tanker, so that explains a lot. I like the new guns and playing around with different vehicle builds. Might try LAVs and DSs soon.

Though it seems this build has been well liked by a majority of scouts, I am in the minority of having some major issues. This may just be due to my playing style and weapons I use, as well as tactics, but 1.7 is killing me. I have definitely reduced my in game time, though I haven't given up because I am hoping if I can grind out some new tactics and make adjustments that I could make a go of it.
Otherwise I may take a bit of a break from the game, and just hang out in the forum.
Nova knifing scout masochist. I would be a sadist, but CCP won't let me.

tank spam makes this game un fun.
stealing my blueprints made me lose trust for ccp... I just cant get behind them now.
still no pve, still no balance.
and the forum community is toxic and moronic.

Pros: Vehicle Cost Reduction. Respec for vehicle skills. Tank vs tank combat. Faction warfare loot is cool. Friendly Fire awesomeness. Feel like playing Eve again for faction orbitals. New weapon sounds and handling and last but not least, Dropship scans that keep them close to the action without them dropping from the sky. I love flying low, and I love seeing them fly low.
Cons: Friendly fire (especially on remote explosives damaging each other) needs abit of tweaking. No respec for Anti-Vehicle skills. No market to sell clutter.
Personal views: I am having fun just flying with a squad scanning for them in a dropship, where as before I would just solo when I was flying because I gave them no squad points. The nerfbat always hurts, and I feel for those it hit this time without a respec, but vehicles are so cheap and awesome now, even militia ones, that everyone should try them. They are damn fun and more explosions are a good thing. Vehicle combat and killing requires team play, not one overpowered tanker nuking all infantry, and not one overpowered infantryman killing all vehicles, but they should both be given respecs at least. That is another debate though.
Faction warfare is awesome, and with abit of ironing out, will be the strength of Dust and it's Eve link, with no lag. Thanks for proving me wrong CCP.
I love Friendly Fire. Even dropping people off with a drop ship is exciting. The rewards for Faction Warfare is driving some people away for the ISK cost they put in, I hope it increases abit too, but newer players should love it as the loot requires less skill points to use and vets will love it for the Friendly Fire challenge and the different electronic and power grid requirements on some loot they can tweak their fittings with.
Take advantage of the Rail and combat rifle kill reward challenge. They are obviously in the balancing stage at the moment.

I agree with a lot of your post - the biggest positive is the friendly fire in FW. in fact I think that it was the only balanced thing about the patch.
guns need work
suits need work
AV / vehicles need work
FW rewards need work
bugs need sorting
vehicle pricing and risk vs reward aspect.

Yeah, I dropped this game after like 4 matches in 1.7.
Mostly has to do with the fact that niche roles are near useless now. Shotguns, Lasers, Snipers, Mass Drivers, HMG; where did they go? Nobody noes.
Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened.

1.7 is the most fun I have had this month, but then its probably because I find the FOTM fun, unlike the FOTM for the last few builds which I found to be a boring waste of time. |

Same here. I haven't capped (without AFKing) since 1.3 and haven't played while capped since Chromosome, back when they still had the daily cap.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Still having much fun, came back, so glad I did. On cap reset, capped out a few hours later, sat up for two days straight just tanking away. Taking a step back for a little bit for Christmas, will try and get on and play a few matches every now and then though.

Yes, Militia Tank spam (Me included....I like getting rid of the enemy noob tankers) and Rail Rifles make this game so rewarding to noobs.
I've stopped running even Advanced. I'm sure people will be happy to know that I now usually use my Logi suit to actually rep people, besides in PC.

Marauder posted a video of how terribly bad the lag was in a PC the other night. Everyone was rubber banding....it was so awful.
