The question that goes through my mind everyday I play Dust 514 is when will we see a balance in the game that would satisfy everyone. Dust 514 is a great game but some issues with this game makes it frustrating to play. In time when you make a character your character becomes stronger due to the choices of how you skill your character into specific roles. Every month the game changes due to certain nerfs or weapons, dropsuit and vehicle changes. I feel like the game never has a simple solid foundation to build up on. What's balance in Dust 514 when players goals are to level up and wield powerful weapons of mass destruction to unleash on their opponents. CCP's major challenge is balancing. In Dust 514 you have to read on modules, weapons , vehicles and drop suit statistics to build an effective mercenary. Once this is done the second challenge is to play through bad frame rate issues, stupid glitches and auto aim with hit detection indicators that blind you as well as slow you down from moving to cover. In a fire fight I was getting shot, I remember my weapon stopped firing, rounds still in the chamber and a mercenary once my weapon stopped, ultimately finished me when I had stripped him of his shields and armor. The frustration set in quick after that gun fight.
The main issues that gets me frustrated and so many others is the fact that once your getting shot your pretty much unable to use counter measures to escape the kill zone it's like someone has got a pause button that is locking you into enemy fire til you are utterly killed and there is no way to move or strafe incoming enemy fire, once you get hit. It's funny to watch how fast your protection goes down once engaged by the enemy. What are your thoughts on getting shot and being unable to fight back, is it just luck of the draw or module protection is just useless ?
I would like to know how much module protection is too much protection and what is good enough protection to add to your suit to protect you as well as allow you to get out of the way of someone shooting at you? You don't wanna be to slow to run, but you also want to be protected enough to take enough punishment to get out of harms way. Would love to hear your thoughts on the balancing of the game as well as drop suit fittings that can be versatile in battle. I've been trying to figure out when the enemy has me in his sight what are some ways could I fend off a attack and survive. What suit builds could be the perfect balance between surviving under fire ? Thanks for your feedback |
