Hello. I've been trying I really have for the past 3 weeks to deal with this lag. I can't take it anymore. And this isnt in pc.this is in pubs and fw now. The lag is unbearable. I've been patient thinking it would go away eventually but up untill 2 weeks before 1.7 the lag has been real bad I've checked my connections and I'm running 14 mbs dl and 1 mbs up I know that's not too fast . It maybe my end but this wasn't happening this bad in a while. When I'm playing I see reds and pump shots straight in the chest and NOTHING but they sure as hell can kill me no problem. I won't be playing as often untill this confirmed and resolved. I lost two very close fw battles today because of lag and I'm positive if I wouldn't have been lagging so hard we would have won. From a closed beta vet who hasn't complained about anything ever! So you know this is an issue that's serious..

My internet service provider is terrible. Despite that, I'm not really having problems with lag in public battles.

Sorry to hear you're getting the lag problem Axis - I've also played since closed beta, and although I've had bad lag/ framerate problems pretty much all along, and it certainly seems to have hit a lot more people since the last update.
The lack of response from CCP, I assume, has been due to the loud voices of the fortunate, unaffected, players shouting "there's no lag/ framerate problem" whenever we've reported it, and so CCP has apparently never taken it seriously. Here's hoping that if anything good can come out of more people suffering this problem, it's that there's a growing mass of voices reporting it.
You may notice certain players are consistently hard to target, and your screen goes into stutter-vision when you try. Some players are fortunate enough to benefit consistently from this flaw, and I suspect if the problem gets addressed, giving us a more even playing field, we'll see a very sudden change in top-ranking players, not to mention a massive improvement in player retention! |

Bumping. This started in 1.7. I have a great FIOS connection with no packet loss etc. However, city battles are off/on unplayable. There are times other more open maps have issues even when far away from city. So, either all the drop uplinks are causing this or you guys need your IT to check your switches and cables. I know that sounds funny, buy being in the internet business we had a kinked cable cause off/on packet loss for area serving over 300k customers. It does happen.
I have no had this issue until 1.7.
