More than halfway through, the missile instillation in the enemy redline still had yet to be destroyed. I of course being the naive pilot that I am, figured at least one of these sad saps would have the intelligence to clear out the turrets with their turret clearing turrets.
I was wrong.
What would have been a daring escape turned into a burning pile of wreckage because I didn't run around clearing the map of turrets before hand, because blueberries are somehow entirely incapable of rational thought.

the joys of being an Assault pilot, eh Fiend? Missile Installations are highly-effective anti-air batteries. They definitely come in second, lead by a manned railgun installation / railgun tank. It's ridiculously annoying with all these tanks running around, if they weren't so common, us pilots would be having a laugh, mopping up infantry kills. Went (I **** you not) 43/1 on Day 2 of 1.7, but the tank problem hadn't really started there. It was only in the past 3-4 days they've really become a problem. Anyway, see you in the skies again soon, fiend. happy hunting!

I only wish I had zero faith in CCPs ability to not screw me over, but as usual, it was ill placed. So, militia missile launcher it is
the Incubus with a railgun with its bonuses... that makes for one hell of a dogfighter as we learned the other day. Can't do **** against infantry unless they're snipers on a hill and you're dead steady in first person. I just lead my targets into my missiles and *BOOM*, +50
