I was playing with someone this week that referred to the the little ones as "squeakers." I really like that one.
There are a bunch of high school kids that play this game that from their voice and maturity I would never have figured out how young they were. Then there are people like "hey suky usuk" in which I was genuinely surprised he was old enough to be literate.

I don't mind young players. I don't mind stupid players. I just don't ever want to have to listen to them - now granted there are some surprisingly mature ones and definitely exceptions, but in general I cannot stand anyone playing this game who hasn't finished puberty.
I cannot stand the shrill cries they make, or the fact that most cannot speak at a volume that isn't a scream, I also really wonder where the **** the parents are when the kiddies are shrieking obscenities into the microphone and or crying because people are 'being mean to them' (any call of duty mic harassment video).
It's not the players, or the age, it's the abuse of microphone privilege (this also goes for the people who treat this game like its a radio station) and the lack of supervision. |

I can't believe how much of a hot topic this has become, i go to watch youtube and i see on the Forums tab (12) DUST 514
While i certainly don't mind younglins in and of themselves, i DO however, mind the ones who tell me 'don't run that! That's garbage because so-n-so said THIS is Op.'
Also the ones who squeal like guinea pigs, or the ones who are just downright confrontational/screamy.
However i've squadded with a few (like 2) who listen to orders, and others who are BRILLIANT LaV gunners.
I've come across a few that complain that they can't do '360 noscopes', 'quickscoping' and other CoD bullcrap. A slightly lower annoyance are the ones who SCREAM at the mic when a MD hits them, because CoD has trained them that it's a noobtoob.(oddly enough, those are the ones who get mortared at like 60-140 meters)

Every single person who treats online VoIP as a radio station needs to die in an electric fire.
But on the topic, I don't mind kids as long as they don't have annoying squeaky voices and are just, annoying. In any other case I just mute them or leave the squad and avoid them for good. Also I'm 16, so I guess I am counted into this demographic as well.

The youngest is 9 I believe and a damn good logi. It's why we have the PG-13 rule for voice chat. I've spoken to quite a few of them and some of the other corps are missing out on some really good players but won't take them because they're too young.

Agreed, whenever I'm on I always squad with him and lookout for him on chats and stuff, he got trolled by some members but they stopped after I told them to......

Awesome :p I'll keep an eye out for him, my brother also plays (11yrs old) but his guy is part of an old corp I was in.....he rarely plays so I use his toon as a practice toon to try new gear :p
