I literally give up. making up meaningfull fits is not actually worth it anymore. Have 1.57k hp in my heavy, doesn't matter will die in a second. If I have reppers; doesn't matter dies because of lack of hp. If I have plates; dies before he can reach cover; If I have speed; dies faster than that time it takes to start running.

Anyone who says that fitting is important is lying.

Fits that are worth it:

• Any type of rifle and damage mods.


• Tanks (which are now cheaper than my advanced suit)


• LAV's cause murder taxis are back... I went batshit crazy in one today because I was so pissed that my heavy/HMG was worthless. Why use it to get to your opponent and have a hard time killing him when you can run him over. If you miss; might as well back up and kill him anyway.

I Am frustrated. I cant do more than three matches a day now because I feel like there is nothing for me to do. I can rep my friends but when I use my heavy it's not half as decent as the other weapon types, and I have profi 5. I put an assault combat rifle and it works better than the HMG and that makes me sad. Run and gun is boring. I like strategy.


I want dust to be what it used to be. when I saw a nice spread of weaponry in the kill feed. When I could actually think about what to fit based on the situation and not have to fit for damage because LOLHP.

Well thank you, but thats not the point. I have 23 million SP and I can do various roles proficiently. But when someone is fully specced into their role and fittings are never taken into account because of the way game mechanics work then there is really no basis to have it in game.

CCP might as well do to suits what they did to tanks. Reduce module slots to 2 and 2 so you can fit 2 damage mods and 2 reppers and thats it. Or make every suit a commando for all it's worth. Fittings don't matter but fittings should matter.


Balance is also an issue. Any rifle out-functions any other weapon in game. Yes they made more varianst and people might find a sense of equality now that they are seeing a lot of different names in the killfeed but unfortunately they all go under the rifle category.

The game has been balanced to cater to high damage, low thinking matches. You stack damage mods and then after stacking mods you do whatever. Even now that ranges have moved on to obscene distances, Fringe weapons like the HMG, Nova Knives and plasma cannons are mostly harmless and albeit useless in most situations. Having a niche is not enough anymore because for every niche there is a Rifle to fill it.

This game is broken, and has been for a while. I have a little faith it will get better but for now I have taken a break and will return for the next patch. I suggest you do the same and save yourself some pain. Perhaps CCP will notice the decline in players and do something for once.
