The Devs are planning the events to 'fight the devs'.
Don't show up. Protest. Express your displeasure with the game by refusing to participate in the event. The continued poor implementation of mechanics (FW, tanks, shield nerfs, scouts, rifle weaponry, Planetary Conquest) shouldn't be taken lightly by the community. Most of us here want the game to succeed. We want this to be a viable game, otherwise we wouldn't be here and we wouldn't enjoy it. During the days of these scheduled events, don't participate and don't buy any AURUM items. Words, apparently, are not enough for the development and executive teams.
Of course mistakes are made and I understand. I sympathize with the work that they are currently attempting but something has to give. Something has to change and it can't be the players just constantly adapting to their mistakes. It's not fun anymore. |

Multiple tanks are fine. It's the current map lay outs that are a large part of the issue. They want to encourage vehicles to fight vehicles and to be quick, powerful disruptive forces to infantry. Unfortunately the maps force players to cluster together due to the lay out of the objectives and the optimal ranges of our weapons in context to the size of the maps. There are few places where a tank can be held off outside of the objective because there is no reason to be beyond the objectives.
Regardless. The protest idea is just that; if players are unhappy, they have to actively make a point of it with more than just words. Either by refusing to play or refusing to pay. When AURUM first hit the Eve market, massive protests were set off in Eve which forced changes to be made.
The implementation of Faction Warfare in its current form has been such a horrible failure. It's things like this that cause players to quit and lose faith. Sure, they can fix it in a week, but when these mistakes happen again and again - something is wrong. |

You're talking to some deluded individuals, then. |

Saxbrin Shain wrote:You must be new here, so I'll explain to you how patches in a MMORPG-style game work:
Patches that add new features usually break a few things while improving the game as a whole. The follow-up patches fix all of the bugs the dev's couldn't catch because the players put in more man-hours in an afternoon than CCP could hope to devote to testing in a year.
HTFU.
No, not new but thanks for your input.
P.S; This is why most MMORPGs have test servers! |

They have to remember to not squad up on the dev side, too. And not use mics. Maybe they could turn their playstation off in mid match to simulate being kicked. Just to make it more realistic, you know.
