in the land of armor plates and damage mods there is another module who can survive enter the Profile Dampener, it gives protection against scanners and has decent fitting and SP costs, it makes you hard to detect and with the TTK being shorter than you can say time to kill they're nice to have.
Okay, CCP make some more modules as effective as this (regulators,kin cats,energizers,regenerators) you might have something good on your hands...

Yep. Dampening is a priority Core skill now.
Regulators need to be better, kin cats need to increase movement speed as well as sprint speed, energizers are fine (although they cost a little too much to fit), regens are fine.
In terms of other modules...
Passive scanning needs to be better, Myofibril Stims need to do something else (like increase reload speed), damage mods need to be nerfed into the ground, and....yeah everything else is fine.
More modules in general would be nice.

On one of my ADV MinLogi fits, I use 3 Enhanced Prof. Damps. along with my MLT Shotgun. The suit does well for evading scanners, but as a Shotgunner, I feel it lacks speed when compared to my Scout. In all, they are good modules, but as I normally play a support medic, I rather brick-tank to ensure that I can actually take a few hits. |

It's a very underrated and underused module. Most people like to bulk up on Armor but the Profile damp can f*ck people up who over rely on the scanner.

Agreed. Modules needs pros and cons. Plates->speed. Shield ext->regen.
Maybe reducing range by added dispersion.

energizers should lower your recharge delay by small increments per tier, along with the boosted recharge rate. Something to compensate a little more for the lost health. or maybe helping regulators in lowering the deplete recharge delay.
stack energizers, rechargers, and regulators if energizers have this small boost, and you may actually have a viable, low health, passive healing shield tanker. basic 5% advance 10% complex 15%

Plates->speed. Shield ext->regen. Maybe reducing range by added dispersion. That's one though or increasing ROF which would mean you'd run out of bullets faster if you weren't careful

Profile skills are useless on heavies since their starting numbers are so bad.

Damps are awesome.
It is too bad the blueberry next to you won't wear them and gets lit up like a Christmas tree.

You are going to have to really work at it to make heavies 'stealthy'. That lvl V dampening, reducing your profile a full 10%... Not actually going to do anything at all for a heavy suit (65db -> 58db, well above the basic scanners 46db threshold). Even if you add a complex damp you're still going to have a profile of 45.5. Enough to beat a basic scanner (although just barely). Assuming my math is right though, a second complex damp would bring a heavies profile down to ~34db, enough to beat adv scanners.
Damping V works great on a medium suit though (50db -> 45db). I always get a chuckle when someone with a basic scanner scans me. Probably thinks i'm some weak scout... so wrong

I humorously have 0 SP into damps, I run city squad in PC so I'm going to get nuked or killed in a horrific manner, I'd rather have more HP, but I have Gal Scout maxed so damps are less of a nessecity as I can dodge STD Acrtive scanners but may gal logi will be shown by the triage hives under my feet
