Scanners don't work on scouts

Texs Red DUST University Ivy League 93	Posted - 2013.12.13 15:02:00 - [1] - Quote I 6 times in 4 different games I have had direct line of sight on a scout, activated by adv scanner and had the message back "No margin for Error" but the scout fails to be high lighted of even show up on my map at all. Once I used a proto scanner just in case before going around a corner, "No margin for Error", then walk around the corner into two scouts that did not show up on my map at all. Was there a change in the patch notes about this?

I know for a fact you can no longer get 'some margin of error' but I'm checking to see if anything has changed to make our profile lower. This is how it should be, if a scout has a proto suit, proto modules it should ALWAYS beat any scanner. They are meant to be unseen, not scanned every ten seconds cuz that nugget logi is just sat by the supply depot scanning with 16second ADV scanner, getting the some margin message and then switching out to his proto scanner. Takes ALOT more to skill fully into being not seen than it does the scanner. I stick my weiner in two buns and and then give it the gas Sour cream from my spleen into Levi jeans

Doesn't matter which suit they wear, so long as they have Lvl 5 in the skill. To avoid 28dB proto scanners, they need Lvl 2 in dampening and one basic or militia dampener. So what you're experiencing is normal. If you want to troll scouts, pull out the Duvolle Focused Scanner, since nearly no one can beat that scanner. It's not as useful a scanner though (long cooldown, short illumination, high PG usage).
