Also:
CCP has stated that they haven't planned a PS4-Version so far. And when they told us about their 5-Year-Plan shortly after Uprising 1.0 was released they didn't say a word about the PS4-Version being in the near future. So I don't see a PS4 version happen before 2018.
THE PS3 SUCKS IT SUCKS, the game has failed because of it, it needs to get on PS4 NOW, the gfx and hardware of the PS3 have now held this game back for the next 10 years, the maps are small, the fps is crap, the gfx are disgusting, the features are bad, the aiming on ds3 is bad, mouse and keyboard support sucks ass.
this game would have been 10x better if it was PS4 only. and PS4 have sold over 2 million consoles already, with 4 F2P games that most people play.
face it, CCP is going down, they have just sacked loads of people, they ruined dust 514 because of a PS3 release instead of wait a bit and bring it to the PS4, CCP went for NOW NOW NOW GREEEED and its cost them. |

Settle down little buddy; literally everything you just listed as a problem is CCP's fault, not the PS3s. The game failed because it's designed for a PC niche market (same as Eve) and the guys at the top for some iq-less reason thought the casual console market would buy into it. Back on topic, I thought CCP stated at the start the game would also be brought to PS4?
It may come to PS4 but remember anything that comes to dust must come to both ps3 and ps4, so where as the PS4 could handle 64+ players, 10x bigger maps, more features, the PS3 can't so the PS4 must be limited in every way but textures and gfx to make it in line with the PS3 version. this alone will hold back the game for 10 years, if this game was made for PS4 only it could have been more of what an eve fps sandbox should be. |

Battlefield 4 got it right, I'm sure CCP can copy them since BF4 copied commander mode from Dust. If you don't know BF4 has separate servers for the PS3 and PS4 version.
PS4 is not linked to eve online though is it, you cant separate player bases between consoles for eve online integration. |

Your assumptions aren't sound. Anything connected to the internet can reach another device connected to it as well, you only need both devices to speak the same language. The PS4 will be as capable as the PS3 to link up to Tranquility and play Dust. Someone mentionned that, the PS3 port would have to be Identical to the PS4 port. That's another wrong assumption. Simply from a PC to another, my Video settings aren't like yours on other PC-only games. I might have better image quality but lower resolution. I might also volountarily reduce graphics quality to benefit from better FPS. The same can be true for PS4 and PS3. Dust can have "ok" graphics on the PS3 and "awesome-lifelike" graphics on the PS4. After a few years, if the PS3 can't keep up they can announce that support will be dropped much like Square did with Final Fantasy 11. At some point they dropped the PS2 caus it was no longer able to follow the other platforms. It's feasible but the game, right now, needs to fix all it's problems before ressources are dedicated to porting the game.
no no no
no no no
just no no no
you need to learn how games work pal, firstly the PS3 has 256mb of ram, the ps4 has 8gig, the ps4 can handle maps 10x bigger where the PS3 would not, so how can they make dust better? with 10x bigger maps then the ps3 cant play them and then they wont be linked and cross platform.
You can not make big improvements to dust on the PS4 because the PS3 would not handle it in ANY way whatsoever. the PS3 can hardly handle dust as it is now and originally did not even have iron sights for f sakes due to lack of memory.
so the conclusion IS dust can't be improved on PS4 in any technical feature way without ps3 having to be shut down or separated completely spiting played base and removing the point of the game in the first place. |
