There are far too many people scared to do anything to reduce their KD/R even if it's the difference between Winning and Losing the match
I'm using the special 100% armor repair nanite injector and I'm getting tired of people not wating to be revived .. I;ve seen a proto gal logi with 800 armor not let me revive him .. he had over 800 armor and an extremely expensive suit and still decides to respawn in .. if I revived him back to full armor he'd have saved 150k ISK and been brought straight back into the battle and the funny thing is I finished off the last enemy player who killed him so he was completely safe from being rekilled
Take this KD/R stat padding mentality to pubgames .. if you're afraid of reducing your KD/R then FW is not for you
The reason why so many people use Logi's as slayers is because of things like this .. why bother having a proto + Nanite injector if no one waits for you to revive them ?
Trust in your Logi's to be able to do their job ... if you want us to stop taking your kills start letting us logi you

I feel you, man. It makes me not even want to carry my Nanites. I usually wait until I bleed out until I respawn, unless the situation calls for me to bypass this*. I carry a Repair Tool with me at all times (except when I Commando). Logibros for liiiife.
*The situations where I skip the wait are as follows: A) My body's placement is in a place where it endangers anyone coming near it. B) There are no nanite users around. C) I feel as though my death will allow me to change fittings and deploy in the hopes of aiding my allies.

Also I tend to respawn when I see enemies on the map and dont think its a good idea to put the logi in harms way.

There has been a lot of "revive trolling" since patch release. Guess the merc was worried about that, or just has tons of ISK and not bothered, or wanted to spawn elsewhere... etc.

Whenever I get downed, I check to see if any medics are nearby just in case my teammates are able to clear out the area and revive me.
This allows my team to acquire WPs for Warbarge strikes and SP gains and save me isk from spending on another suit.
It doesn't hurt to be patient guys. Press the O button to bring up the overview map and assess the situation. Decide if it's okay to respawn or wait to be revived.
I'm not mad at anyone or anything 'cause I know in some situations, you just need to respawn to come back into the game faster to keep enemy units from hacking the objective.

That's understandable .. I run a scanner as well as a rep tool so I usually scan before a revive to make sure the coast is clear / assess the allies and enemy balance if theirs 6 enemies and just me and you I wouldn't revive and would run to a better position
I think the real issue is trust .. Logi's need to trust slayers to do their jobs properley and everyone else needs to trust logi's will do their jobs properley
Sure their are griefers but not letting any Logi do their job because of a few griefers/bad logi's is only going to hurt you in the long run
If I'm honest if I see the blueballing tactic I'll kill the guys doing it |

I would like to be repped but the trolls ruin it for us. We are to afraid of the trolls that shoots and revives, shoots then revives over and over to the point you have one choice and that is pull the plug and walk away, before you break something

It often does. The issue is that even if I can see a logi in the area I cannot see if he has seen me. Nor can I tell a real logi from a WP farming assault suit player who just has the nanites for points. I also cannot tell if the guy who may or may not be coming for me and may or may not care about my life after the revive or if he has any other tools to heal my armour. On top of that nor can i see the quality of his injector.
There is no way for me to assess the quality of the medic. The risk I take in waiting then finding i am being farmed or am back in a heavy hot zone with barely any armour has to be balanced against my squads need for me to return to action by respawn and the location I am needed at.
A revive when I am around a safe corner and the battle is elsewhere with a militia injector is fine. I can wait. But if there is bullets nearby and getting up may mean another death and increase the time to get back to the fight then I may opt to not take the risk.
Now if I knew you had seen me and that you were a real logi I might wait. If I could punish you, like the FW mechanic or better yet;reward you with 5 extra WP if I am happy with the service. Even better still I award you logi standing points if I am happy with the revive or the game awards LS points based on how long I live and how much armour you gave me on revive (LS points?) So logis could have standings just like FW standings. Maybe Then I could be more sure of a safe and quality revive. Imagine if when killed I could see a little bar that had your Logi Standing in it (like the faction war standings) I could instantly see when i die, yep, thats a proper and conscientious logi. I'll wait.

Well last night in cal-gal round I got revived 4 times in a row in the middle of a firefight. My lifetime was about the same as the get up animation... I dont care about kd/r but at that moment it would have been better to spawn somewhere else.. I would like to see that nanite injector would used only in squad mates.
The thing I hate the most are the militia injector users... I use covenant suits on fw games... So my 330 armor is really low after militia injection..

I would argue that often times people don't wait for a revive precisely because they care about victory / defeat. If they died they feel they have to push right back into the game as fast as possible, and for them that means if they can spawn back in faster than you could revive them, then they are that much closer to being there in time to stop a hack, or make that critical kill. |

I only use 80% needle on my medic suit. And only if I can take out enemies around the fallen soldier.

The reason is some players are stupid with the "pick up stick" and will get you back up right in the fight. Then they get 2 deaths because a blue berry wanted to pick them up. Isk isnt the problem. No one wants to die 2 times due to someone else mess up.
Would you like to die then give another player 50 points to die again or spawn full heath on a drop uplink 2 seconds from the fight?
Heavys only have 2 heavy guns. Please dont turn the NERF bat on them. Give heavys more suits or guns please :D

You shouldn't get a death if your clone isn't terminated. The player that downed you should get credit for a kill but you shouldn't get a death until your clone is terminated.
Same thing for Ambush's... If your team reaches 0 clones first but you have killed off all the red things and are the last ones standing you should win. we are missing this fundamental clone mechanic in PUBS
When clone count's actually mean something in PUB's then needles will finally be back where they where in chromosome(when you could see the surroundings you where being picked up into)

Milta pen trolling can be a problem, have been revived/ killed many times.Have been scolded by sqaud/ team members for picking them up while using a protons pen and adv repper. On occasion things may not go well, like a scout coming from nowhere, or a heavy appearing from around a corner. I put myself between the direction of a possible threatand the downed merc. If it hits the fan I going to take the heat first, 9 times out of ten it works, but to be scolded like some little child does get old. Will try to continue to help as a support logi (22 mil SP, into support Logi), with the new weapons and the needles lagging again it does take some of the fun out of it. To those of you who don't want to be revived please inform me at the beginning of the match and I will be more than happy to avoid you like the plague. |
