Hey all,
I don't know of a whole lotta people who are into legitimate LAVs other than gbghg, but this build I am not even sure if he's doing professional LAVing. I need someone to bounce off fitting ideas and to wreck up stuff with.
I need a 6 man team, 2 or 3 LAVs. -Myself -Driver 2 -Gunner 1 -Gunner 2 -Passenger 1 (preferably Logi or Heavy) -Passenger 2
I run Methana Blaster/Railgun with priority on Blasters. I don't care if you run Saga with Missiles but I would prefer a fellow Methana so we would have compatible bug out times. I would prefer that the person runs missiles or at least a little railgun because when the fix this nitro tank BS I could have someone to attempt tank hunting with. Don't tell me it's suicidal, because I want to try it damn it!
Yeah so hit my mail up, I want to know more LAV drivers! |

Your ideal passenger would be a Minmatar Logistics with high hacking skills, a vehicle repair tool and a short range weapon to clear troublemakers from the vicinity.

That's not a bad idea but I feel like two Commandos being supported by two blaster LAVs is gonna be a hard nut to crack. I ran an LAV squad with you before and fast hacks are definitely a big pro, but if some serious HAV heat is on me I think it would be a good strategy to run LAAV with AV/AI infantry to be very flexible |

Honestly, a 850+ EHP Logi with Swarm launchers and Ishikune SMG could do you equally good. Plus , carry a repair tool for the LAV if needed and Drop uplinks to leave in good areas to also help the team advance.
just saying.
A commando could work, but an SMG is equally effective than a rifle, people just fail to realize....and the logi is far superior than a commando.
In any case. I have Every amarr suit available with various fitting and its not secret i love destroying vehicles...

Oh I forgot. Forgive me, I am scout, my suit rarely pushes over 350 HP.
You are right, the SMG is highly reliable sidearm (not too much skill required and it has pretty good chance of killing a lot of people. However that would require the Amarr Logi and like Reav pointed out, a Minmatar Logi with that hacking bonus is going to be very useful for Objective pillaging. |

If you still need a driver or gunner, message me.
What do you do when you See "WARNING, Damage Mod Active" on an LAV? You wake up in another suit.

I may hit you up also, Rails are actually viable this build, they are like a 10 shot tactical sniper rifle vs infantry and make short order of other LAVs while in pursuit. I haven't had the opportunity to bug a tank with them yet, but I can't wait to try.

Well, my tanker chars can gun. I have a dropship pilot too that could use some quid pro quo.
I love the idea of LAVs being used as they should as a combo run and gun platform rather than cheap crap tactics.
Anybody remember the G.I. Joe V.A.M.P.? Yeah, always loved that idea.

I've actually been surprised with the Rails that I've seen in action. They're able to VERY effectively act as point defense and you can use the LAV itself to cover a very large area of the map. Going in I thought their AV capabilities would still be outmatched by the Small Missile and their anti-infantry capabilities would be outmatched by everything else but on certain maps the thing can really dominate.

i don't play so much anymore, but i'll help out when we're both on. due to my limited sp i didn't get a chance to get caldari lav to 3, so i'm blocked on my supply of saga 2's, and with my python being all awesome right now i haven't really had much of a chance to mess around with lavs right now. still the 1 match where i was messing around with a corpmate in them was hilarious, car chase, dodging tanks, getting alpha'ed to hell by some **** in a redline rail turret.... ah good times.

Is there any point to Saga 2's in 1.7? I've looked at the stats and haven't noticed anything different between it and the stock Saga.

You know I'm available.
However, my SP is in shield tanking and caldari turrets. I could make some passenger fits, though. Ps: the corp wallet is pretty fat, and research is definitely a good use for it, if need be.

So
Myself X-eon Scheneighnay gbghg Foundation ratamaq I know King is down for passenger at least
Deployable turrets are wanted as well (Heavy Machine Gunners)
My 500 K sp just went into Complex Range Amps so I won't be seeing any viable turrets anytime soon. My goal is Neutron blasters in the near future or Particle Accelerators.

i jump into the top turret of a gunlogi, standard small rail nothing special, enemy python is being a nuisance, its floating in the middle of my elevation as its hardeners run out, i overheat the rail into it, taking out about 80%of its shield, a forge gun then hits it and kills it. and that was a standard small rail, i'm wondering if the advanced could urn an lav into a mobile, relatively cheap and effective AA platform, but as i said i haven't had the chance to test this yet.
