so recently both the amarr and Minmatar players have made threads and such to get more organized to help our own empires fight for the cause.
both eve/dust players are rallying their own small/large armies to fight each the opposing empire, or in other words, a PC in FW form but with more support and less proto.
as of recently, and some of you know, I am loyal to the Republic and am fighting against the amarr for my own reasons.
as it stands now we actually have a reason to fight and we know that are fights actually mean something now, but IMO no one knows who will win this fight in the end because either way both factions face heavy losses, but at the same time a great number of wins
hopefully our Ammatar brothers who are brain washed by you guys decide to join their true heritage and fight for the republic instead of you amarr slavers, but its totally up to them.

Joking aside, the Empyrean War has no end condition. Everyone has been able to claim total victory at some point or other (only ... have the Amarr ever actually managed it?), and everybody's been on their heels. This war is not meaningless, but its primary purpose is to serve as a pressure valve to prevent conflicts that would otherwise be turning planetary surfaces into fields of radioactive glass.

everyone has a free will to do things. if they decide to fight with the amarr then so be it. we will beat their asses as well. war is war, it never changes for us mercs, but what we do in these wars is totally up to us.
the war between the Matari and amarr has taken a meaningful affect since 1.7 came out,

Not really, we are still missing half of our deployable assets from HAV to dropsuits. I can agree there is more reason to fight but that loyalty is not based off patriotism but greed.
Doesn't matter how you slice it, greed is the discerning factor here.

The capsuleers get access to unique ships and high-quality modules. We similarly get access to high-quality kit. This isn't "meaningfulness"; it's compensation. You can still never "win" the Empyrean War-- "winning" means keeping enthusiasm for the real thing tamped down until the empires can bring themselves to stop shooting at each other.
The rest is just war theater. |
