I had both Amarr and Caldari selected for FW, and I accidentally ran over a teammate who ran into the middle of the road, this being with the Caldari. That isn't my issue however; I was banned from not just the Caldari but ALL faction warfare contracts. Is this a bug or the actual design?

I agree. And its not like I purposefully rolled the guy. The LAV doesn't have the best traction to turn at a moment's notice; its like its on ice sometimes. But yes, of the 15 or so FW battles I've played that's the first time I've killed a teammate. So more careful I shall be.

It was on a bridge. Guy came from behind a container and I didn't even have enough time to break.

I just think you should be banned from that particular FACTION for 24 hours, not Faction Warfare all together. If I get punished for making a mistake; sure I'll sit out 24 hours from that faction, but don't punish the user by excluding him/her from fighting for anyone else for 24 hrs. A complete ban only deters players from playing it more often. I'm pretty sure CCP will address this issue as well soonTM.

I haven't killed a teammate via shooting my gun. A teammate however did run across a road and left me little room to avoid him. But yes you are still 70% correct....sort of. Dropship pilots should not be banned because blueberries can't figure out how to land on their feet.
