CCP made tanks cheaper because they are easy to kill. Now many of you here on the forums are absolute noobs and have no clue how to take down tanks and are not willing to learn either. Instead, you whine and QQ and say they are too fast, too cheap and easy to use and OP. Yes they are fast (IT'S A FKING BUG). They cheap because they are easy to kill (for me, a skillful proto Av player). How to kill them, im not telling you. You're not even going to listen so what's the point. L2 play the game and adapt. We tankers have been doing it since uprising and we were almost extinct, many left without money.
Edit: Also, tanks are cheap because we dont have the different viarants of turrets yet, im pretty sure the scatter ion cannon (if it ever comes out) is going to be quite expensive. Proto tanks are going to be quite expensive. Also, FYI- the turrets are less powerful, the most powerful blaster only does 136 damage unlike the scat ion cannon from 1.6 that could do 165(no mods only skills), it didn't even have ammo.

Dont think most players know that they A. Run out of ammo B. When active mods go into cooldown you can pop a tank like a ballon. ( hint, if they are glowing, your av not going to harm them) C. During cooldown. Concentrat fire and they will run or die. But most people dont know that because they dont read Dev. Blogs or dont pay attention to whats happening in battle.

I don't think I've seen so much whining from someone who got exactly what they wanted. What did you think, they would correct the issues with tanks and suddenly everyone who love you unconditionally? The only thing worse than people whining about tanks is the people whining about people whining about tanks.
And NOW I'm whining about the people whining about the people whining about tanks. This is a terrible cycle of butthurt.

Secondly, yes I know the best way to take out a tank is to wait until the hardners are off, that's all well and good, but you are effectively saying the whole hinges on the tanker im against being an idiot!

Tanks move like LAVs(seen some flying through the ******* air). If they are in AV range during cooldown, they are bad. Lol run out of ammo? Return tank, recall tank and ammo is resupplied. Those "weaknesses" only hurt bad tankers. |

Why would I want to risk my 160k av fit (Swarms with prof 4 and three stacked damage mods) just to destroy a militia tank that costs 60k isk and can kill me from outside of my lock on range (And this is with a blaster turret) 3x faster then I can kill it. Also any worthwhile aver waited until modules were down even before 1.7. Oh and lets not even mention that as soon as I hit a tanker when his modules are down he instantly runs out of my range . (Also the bugged militia overdrive isn't the only problem either. It's the base speed too). |

Ok, thank you for reading my "how to take out tanks" thread. Anyway, i have 18 million eperience most is in vehicles and i have about 5 into dedicated AV. I know about AV probably better than you people that call your self AV gods. I am a tanker thus i know how to kill people like my self! in other words, I know best about my sh*t and i know how to deal with my sh*t.

No, it's just sad that so many people suck so bad at this game yet they have been playing for ages. KING CHECKMATE for example is a total dumb ass that has no clue how to take down tanks and complains on the forums that his proto breach FG with level 5 proficiency and 2 complex dmg mods doesnt do anything to tanks.

Well, you're using a dumbfire Av weapon which deserves to be nerfed into the ground. ... try using tactics.

I hav'nt seen many good tankers sincr closed beta, but i just came across 5 in a single FW match 10 mins ago. 7 of us running adv. to proto fits did'nt destroy a single tank. Got our butts kivked bad. We would get 2 down to almost being destoyedwhen they would speed off and 2 others would take thier place will the 5th was spamming us with missles. Oh well, we will adapt. Once ccp fix the overdrive glitch, we will be able to deal with them better. Time to skill into rail tanks to counter the blasters

I don't think that people also realize that you can have loldiculous amounts of ammo by using a Gunnlogi (which is the superior tank atm) and filling your low slots with ammo packs that utilize 0 CPU/PG or SP.
I also don't think most players know that any vehicle can escape when the hardners die with ease (and I'm not even talking about the MLT NOS, you don't even need to use the bugged one to be fast enough to escape)
I also don't think people know that with literally 0 to 12k SP, you can easily survive PRO AV. With 1/4 of the price too!
I also don't think most players know that even with Level V, Prof. V, Ammo V, Reload !V, and 4 complex damage mods; you still can't solo a MLT vehicle.
But that's fine. I already know that they will be nerfed very soon.
In the meantime, we will enjoy our Sicas. And heck, I can even afford to call 50 out for everyone on the team.
And they are better at AV than AV itself.

Got one HAV last night because it decided to try for two extra infantry kills after it's hardener when down. Other than that, every HAV I saw didn't turn on hardeners till it took an AV hit. Stuck around for a bit while hardeners were on stomping infantry, and before hardeners went down, ZOOM!!! Off behind the red-line for rapid reps and reload before their hardeners ran out.
Soon this will become the standard behavior for HAVs and AV will have to rely on dumb luck to make the kills that earn the extra ISK above and beyond the basic payout just for being in the match.
I still can't find tanks on the market. All I see are those HAVs.

Everything about the new tanks is fine.
They just need to limit number of tanks per team and fix the dang militia Nitro.
