I have one for close to 500k, but it is jammed with a proto turret and a few proto modules.
I could probably get that cost way down for pub tanking.

around 100k, I use it with a BPO dropsuit.
it is basically a super heavy suit for me that I can put over my dropsuit, except it has more speed and is more effective than a regular suit at killing stuff and practically immune to infantry as long as I watch my modules and do not overextend when they are about to run out. |

Know how much my cheapest drop suit costs? 0 isk. It is moderately effective and very good at pub match isk grind. That's where I make my biggest profit.
Know how much my most expensive drop suit is? Over 200k isk. It's very effective and coupled with a decent squad, that's where I make my biggest win/loss gains.
It's that breadth, diversity and range of options that makes dustso compelling.
CCP have effectively rebalanced vehicles to share this kind of diversity and range between cost and effectiveness.

that is unfortunately not true. a tank fitted for less than the cost as a proto suit fit can only be threatened by other tanks if driven correctly thus is alot more effective for the money. the risk vs reward is out of balance here. |

Not sure if hull prices are this low just to collect data faster or if this is how it's going to be. If these are the set prices, imagine how much prototype is going to cost.

The glitched MLT warp drive (I refuse to use the proper name until it's fixed) module is obviously a contributing factor, and until that's fixed, it's hard to judge how much of the speed issue is actually a legitimate problem, and how much is just the glitch. |

It's not just the glitch though. Nitrous already allowed you to move extremely fast in a tank, and now there's a prototype version of it.
Basically, having waves of opportunity sounds great until you consider that tanks are wicked fast even without the glitch, maps are small, red lines exist, vehicle recall is a thing and AV was nerfed.
It seems like AV is now either about being lucky as an infantryman, or getting your own vehicle.
And new vehicle costs are a joke, while I DO appreciate having an affordable dropship for a change, even if all I can do with it is AV
