What I like about my Gunnlogi:
Speed
It's actually surprising how much the extra speed helps a tank survive. Had we had this speed with the last build, tankers would have QQ'ed a bit less.
It's very easy to dodge forge gun shots. It's much easier to shake swarms. Most importantly, I can get in, do my job, and get back out.
I tried the milita injector last night, meh. Will get fixed, but tanks are still fast. I've been using a complex fuel injector, and still zoom everywhere. Even without it, I'm fast. Expect the hotfix to weed out the noob tankers running around. The more seasoned tankers will still be hard to hit!
Resistance
The resistance is oh so nice. Right now, my go to build MUST have a hardener, and must have a booster. Many matches, I manage to lose NO tanks. Downtime when waiting on cooldowns seems minimal. Don't have max skills in the Cooldown and duration skills.
But, I feel if I did have them, cycling 2 hardeners seems like it would be a bit OP. Down time would be extremely minimal, leaving a very small window to actually destroy a tank. Still to early to really say though, AV needs some time to adapt.
I pulled my swarms out yesterday, and didn't pop any tanks. But 2 salvos was enough to make a tank run back for cover, when it's hardeners went down. (I was stalking/camping him out, just waitin for those hardeners to drop)
Shield Booster
Hmmm, these things are NOICE. Insta regen back to full health, if you don't take damage that stops the passive recharge that is! These things are very nice when someone get's the jump on you.
Price
Yesterday, I called in tanks for my entire squad. That's how cheap they are! Even called in a few for blueberries. Now, it aint no thing to be aggressive or overly aggressive I should say. I actually haven't added up the cost of my tanks, but I know it's nowhere close to the old Million + they used to cost!!
It's nice to run tanks, and not obsess over losing one.
Ammo
I like it. Tanks really needed this. Reload speed (Only have Missiles and Rails) is painfully slow, but that's as it should be. Tank battles are far more interesting and prolonged because of this.
Tank Battles
They are fun now. More fun when everyone and their mother is dropping them into battle! Haven't really gone up against too many GOOD tankers, but even a noob can jump in one and survive easily. Engagements typically comes down to whose hardener expires first, yet even then they can easily escape to recharge and come right back at ya. It's been fun blowing up tanks. It's been a lot of fun taking on multiple tanks at a time!
(go ahead and call in your somas. Tanks aren't just point and click. I don't mind takin on 3 noob tankers at one time.)
I do have a problem with milita tanks. Namely, the mods are far too strong. It's rather insane the number of milita tanks i've blown up. I rarely ever see a damn non miltia tank. And these milita tanks take a HUGE beating. That does not seem right at all!
But it would seem to me that the tanks overall are simply MUCH easier to use(wouldn't say that's a good thing). As I mentioned earlier, I called in tanks for all my squad mates. Most of them had very little experience with tanks, and none with the newest version of them.
They didn't die. One guy actually came back to me with the tank towards the end and had me recall it. I was dumbfounded. A noob tanker, going out and surviving. Like it aint no thing no less. Given, a lot of this is due to AV kinda giving up on them most matches.
Yet before, noobs would drive a tank and go up in flames in no time at all. Yet the more veteran players could manage to make one last a whole match.
I won't say it doesn't take skill to drive one, because it really does. But a newberry can drive one and be effective, whereas before they were just there to get popped. That is a good thing I suppose.
So, GJ CCP on tanks. You made tanking interesting for a change. (though don't think you are done yet!)

As a new player you have a choice: you can run infantry suits and die a lot, or run militia tanks and not die. Is that really as clear-cut as it sounds? What is the downside of calling in a tank?
It would seem that is how it is now. It's very easy, turn on hardener, use a booster to heal when need. Tanking is, simple. Milita modules need to be nerfed down to a resonable level. hardners should do like 40%, not 60%. Milita tanks should be very easy to kill!
