So there seems to be quite a few threads; most of them stating that Tanks are OP because AVmen can no longer solo them, or make them hide at the redline. It has dawned upon me that Tanks are feared. Imagine that; the lone AVman has to either run, or get themselves into some serious AV Coordination. Still, the lone AVman refuses to use tactics, and instead decides to call down an LAV; throw a bunch of sticky explosives on the bumper, and suicide themselves upon the unsuspecting tanker. A viable tactic; you'll get no complaints from me, but it kind of shows that individuals feel that they are somehow entitled in one shotting a tank.
Tanks are OP? How so? The only thing that is broken; is the miitia fuel injector. (A mishap in code that I expect to be fixed shortyly.) Otherwise; don't expect to get many kills as a Tanker. I'd be lucky to get 15 kills; as opposed to 30-40 kills with my Scrambler rifle. (Sometimes; you can't get past the ten kill mark.) Maybe you'll get that many kills if you're facing a team of academy cadets, but it's likely your teammates will drown them in a sea of combat rifle bullets.
All this complaining; when in fact Tanks remain very much kill-able. Here's a hint: Avoid me when I'm glowing blue. Shooting a militia swarm launcher will do you no good at that given time.
I was unfortunate (or fortunate; depends on how you look at things) enough to come across a well coordinated group of people on the opposing team. Naturally, they were part of a Corporation, and given their teamwork; I lost quite a few tanks. It was simply a matter of them waiting for my module to go into cooldown, and they would launch their series of attacks. It didn't take three of more people to take me out.
It's just a sad fact that most people that use AV are inherently terrible. Don't give away your position by launching a volley of militia swarms; run away for once. Change your strategy. Adapt. I shouldn't have to tell YOU how to kill me.
As a tanker; I had to adapt to mostly every individual on the field carrying some serious AV; for six months. I adapted, and did get my fair share of kills during that time. The only difference is I had no choice in facing the Proto Swarms/Nades. You have the option to run away, or stay hidden. I can't shoot at you from across them map.
Adapt, or die. That's what makes this game so great.
(TL;DR Quit using militia swarms; while my modules are online. Strategize for once.)

I'm the decoy. Happy hunting.
If I see a well known member from another corporation doing this; I always proceed with caution, or avoid you entirely.
Thanks@ Takahiro

Go try being AV guy, its used to be hard its now impossible. I mean seriously try it, don't just say you have "always been an AV guy" to prove a point on the forum. Go now, do it.
Even try it with Pro Swarms.
Its not that AV guys are "inherantly terrible" its that AV launchers were nerfed because more people experienced the brunt end of them as murder taxi drivers or tanks rather than try to use the things.
They weren't an 'I win' button, they killed un-moduled free LAVs in one volley, thats it, everything else needed three or four volleys if you actually hit them and more often than not your volleys slammed into scenery.
The same can be said in your regard. Go and skill into a tank; post a picture in this thread of how you just so happened to get 50/0 in consecutive matches with a tank. Then it can be considered overpowered. I usually get 10-15 kills per match, and it's highly likely that I will die in said match. Things are evened out. I no longer have to stay within the redline. I can take the chance of venturing outward into the battlefield itself; without being rendered useless by a protoswarmer on a tower. There simply was NO counter to that as a tanker. You'd simply have to wish that a sniper would become aware of his position.
I am a Forge Gunner. The only problem I see now; is tanks using the bugged miltia nitro booster. I can't hit them with my Breach Forge gun because they are simply moving too fast. Anyone who is using that bugged module, and knows full well of it's current state; can not be considered a tanker in my opinion. In fact AV weaponry was the FIRST thing I skilled into when I downloaded this game to begin with.
Yes, it's still possible to redline a tank with protoswarms. It's happened to me more than a few times already. You have to keep in mind however; that I am playing the game fairly, and I do not equip the bugged militia nitro module.
