The proto variant does a mere 0.2 more damage that a militia SMG (Militia SMG-23.00, Proto ACR-23.20), the hip fire feels to have more spread than the SMG, the ADS despite having a proper amount of spread has so much kick that it is extraordinarily difficult to track a moving target at range (which is the whole reason for HAVING the ability to ADS).
It's a fun weapon to use, but with 90% of the other weapons in the game being being almost (almost) pinpoint accurate when ADS, this weapon has too much kick. It is actually easier and quicker to kill an enemy at 40m or less with my basic SMG than with this thing.
So.... if the kick and spread is gonna stay where it is, the Assault Combat Rifle needs to AT LEAST scale in damage EVENLY with SMG's (24.15 ADV, 25.30 PRO). Or, failing that, increase the clip size to compensate for the low damage & high kick. This would be the perfect LMG that people have been wanting for so long, but it has to be viable against it's competition.
It's dangerous to travel the forums alone, take this! (.:'*Honeyed'Lamb*':.)

You realise that the ACR has a higher ROF and therefore much higher DPS paired with more Range compared to the SMG do you? Its DPS is pretty close to an GAR with more Range to be precise... |
