{TL;DR}
The Gallente Assault Dropsuit skill should be applying a PG and CPU usage bonus to Rail Rifles but is not. Rail Rifles are mistakenly not tagged as hybrid weapons in DUST's data files.
{TL;DR}
The Gallente Assault Dropsuits skill (364613) grants 2 bonusModifier skills:
- 5% CPU usage reduction per level for the combination of the following 2 tags: tag_handheld_weapon (352358) and tag_weaponclass_hybrid (353511).
- 5% PG reduction per level for the combination of the following 2 tags: tag_handheld_weapon (352358) and tag_weaponclass_hybrid (353511).
The combination of those 2 tags should basically apply a PG and CPU usage bonus to all handheld (light slot) weapons that are also hybrids. Hybrid weapons are blaster and rail based weapons. That's how it is in EVE and that's how it is in DUST.
Assault Rifles have the following tags:
- tag_weapon_assaultrifle (353488)
- tag_weapon (352335)
- tag_light (352342)
- tag_handheld_weapon (352358)
- tag_weaponclass_hybrid (353511)
Rail Rifles have the following tags:
- tag_weapon_railrifle (363609)
- tag_light (352342)
- tag_handheld_weapon (352358)
- tag_weapon (352335)
With the above data, it is easy to see that Rail Rifles are missing the tag_weaponclass_hybrid (353511) tag.
This tag should be added to them.

Not true unless CCP want to change their wording. There skill states clearly:
Quote:Assault Suit Bonus: +5% to dropsuit shield recharge rate per level.
Gallente Assault Bonus: 5% reduction to hybrid weaponry PG/CPU usage per level
Also, the RR isn't tagged as hybrid which is wrong to begin with. That is regardless of whether the skill should or should not be applied on a design level (which would mean changing the wording..

Tested in the client, yes.
AR gets a CPU/PG reduction while RR does not. :(

Now that the SDE is out you can back up your claims with hard facts. That what I did.

And that should be an extremely easy Hotfix for the DEV's ... seeing as you've pointed out exactly how to fix it You are absolutely correct. I derp'd the tagging. Barring a zombie apocalypse or cats and dogs living together it should be corrected in tomorrow's hotfix.
Are you content with the format of the bug report? Would you prefer a different format in the future? :)
