I enjoy the threat of friendly fire and appreciate the intention of allowing TK's to be a part of the game. I do take issue when my character becomes caught in a helpless chain of deaths and revivals until the person TK'ing me runs out of ammo. If this had been two people my character would have been caught in an endless cycle of deaths without any option but to hit the playstation button and quit/turn off system.
Please give us an option to refuse revivals or go straight to redeploy to avoid this nonsense.

Another easy option to track could be watching time between subsequent TKs per mercenary. If you TK too quick too many you go to limbo... No matter if punished or forgived...

I thought of a possible solution for this.
There are ways you get killed that you can't be revived from. So, make it so that being killed in a given period of time after a revive becomes a permanent death.

The "request help" button should do exactly that. You shouldn't have the option to revive someone who hasn't requested revival. |

People get enjoyment out of this because they are friendless maladjusted nobodies in real life. Whereas many people play these games for enjoyment or a sense of community, others join up because they are powerless in reality and unable to improve their situations and this is the only place they feel powerful.
The upshot of this is that they are typically much less emotionally equipped to deal with harassment themselves. Whereas you posted a video and have tried effect change, if you were to do the same to XJC2, they would probably just throw their controller across the room and yell at their mom's TV.

2 people actually ganged up on me to do this recently. The only way I got out of the cycle was by inching myself close to the nearby cliff on the map, and hurling myself off so they could not follow to revive me. They got 33 kills in before this happened. |

This is not new. Every game with FF and revive function has it. However, if it were me the 2nd shot into my back would result in all 60 rounds from your full AR clip unloading into his chest. Then I would track him all match and put him on my TK list. So, anytime I saw him in any match he gets it...... Until I forget abut the incident in a few days. If he was in a squad.. I would it to easier track him... But I am vindictive that way  |

Quoting for truth. This would also solve the problem of people QQing about blueberries reviving them in the middle of a firefight only for them to die again (also a legitimate concern). I have myself been a victim of involuntary revival... I agree that I should only be able to be revived if I ask for it.

I have no problem with grief squads, I actually applaud your effort. I just think ccp needs to give revive options so people aren't caught in some silly death cycle and force more intelligent greifing to avoid punishes/boots, not trolol TK death needle squads. Nothing wrong with you playing the system so long as the system aint (this) broken.
If they did something more like EVE were everyone is blue til they TK and become "flagged" so anyone can attack them with no penalty that'd be great...until something like that can happen I'd be happy with some improved revive options-doesn't seem so hard to have an 'accept' option or only make people who 'ask for help' revivable.
...and everyone else threatening to counter grief and throw stupid insults @XJ are just as bad as you think he is-and helping nothing. |

with the current systems in place-pretty much. My comment was aimed more at those throwing around insults and the intent to grief him to **** him off rather than to lock him down so others can play normally. Though unless you or someone else is gonna take the time to seek these guys out and beat them at their own game ccp's current options for you are; either try to avoid it til you get caught, tk him and suffer the punishment he'll prolly throw your way, ditch games with known griefers or just play pubs.

Secondly, you just completely confirmed my point. You are saying that it is hilarious when people get frustrated. So how would this not apply to people who pub-stomp? Or pretty much 99% of all FPS games? So you just said that all of Nyan San is either children who doesn't know any better or adults with mental issues, based solely on the fact that they KNOW they **** of 90% of the playerbase yet they continue anyway.

Anyway, kudos to XJC1, seems like he is really getting it down. I have got my own style that I use (which works beautifully) but I think I may give you method a shot too. Do you ever end up getting banned for damage?

That or they should implement a hard limit over a set period of time. 5+ revives in less than 60 seconds and boot. I've had good players that I've kept alive and gotten back in the game with multiple revives but I'm fairly certain more than 5 in a minute has never happened to me. I've probably done 3 in less than a minute after we successfully pushed back a good team and I couldn't heal him fast enough but greater than 5 and I think either:
1. someone is griefing
2. a noob is trying to revive you repeatedly in front of open fire (which honestly, I've never seen more than 2 that way before the bb also gets killed)
3. you revived enough in a short time to deserve a lost of a suit
