Both xbox one and PS4 are selling faster than any console in history. And both are full of Free to play mmos that already have 30,000-100,000 online at a time... |

PvE was confirmed for 2012 in November 2012
You want to know why no one plays this game? The PS3 can't have any more Dropsuit models in game. No more tanks, no more art assets.
They allready fired 80% of the dev team, plus they fired half of world of darkness. PS4 is x32 bit, unreal 3 is easy to make games on if it's not PS3. No one plays their PS3 anymore... There is no playerbase to pull from on PS3.
They have spent 25 million on dust... |

Dust wouldn't look better. It would run in 1080p, and they would have enough memory to add in the missing dropsuits. More players per match. Faster feature creation.
Listen you need to actully try to learn how game engines work. Unreal 3 can not look better. That would be a whole new game, I don't want that, I want 64vs.64 battles, dust is pretty enough. But there enough enough memory to add trees. The ONLY reason we don't have the Minmatar and Ammar MCCs, as well as MTACS, PvE, skirmish 1.0, the halogram table, is soley due to the 512Mb DDR2 ram in the PS3... |

What are you talking about? Dust is running on an altered version of unreal 3.
Unreal 3 is easier to develop on PS4 becuase it's a x32 system. It literally just runs PC games. Get smart. |

Unreal 3 ports VERY EASILY. the game would just look better. I think you need to understand, they play the game in office on PC, Not PS3... The game works fine when they are building it and playing it with 360 controllers. Every month they have to port it to PS3 again... and again... and again...
People aren't gonna spend money on some self titled AAA shooter with 25 million sunk into it that plays the way it does. How much money do you think dust has brought in compared to the cost of the game so far? How much of that money, work and time has been thrown out the window.
Commander mode was working in house 3 weeks from being released, Vita app was finished 2 years ago. Racial MCCs are done but can not fit untill they fix the code or save memory somewhere.
EVE online would not run on 512Mb of ram... |

Unreal 3 is easier to develop on PS4 becuase it's a x32 system. It literally just runs PC games. Get smart. It's quite simple what I'm talking about. Use your brain Einstein. How can you supposedly "talk tech" and can't have the basic common sense to understand what a person is saying? It's quite simple what I'm expressing here. Unless you have the rain man syndrome. In which I am starting to believe...
You hear people talk about unreal 3 and your brain breaks. That's sad. |

You will wait forever
The launch trailer advertises PvE, they did that becuase they knew it would be released before the end of 2012 for sure 100%. Whoops. |

meri jin wrote:Dust is a bad game because it is not made for the PS3. The PS3 is limiting Dust in a very strong way. What would happen if you run a Windows 7 installation on a Pentium 2 and a Voodoo 3DFX card? Right, you would have to limit it back to windows 98 or even 95 :P.
That is exactly what is happening to Dust on the PS3 right now. Don't get me wrong, I still think that it is possible to make it run on both systems, like Destiny. But I think that Dust is way more complicated then Destiny, so you would have to limit functions of the PS3 Dust like not having 64v64 and no PVE, but still playable.
Listen to one more thing here. Even if Dust would transferee to the PS4 like it is now, I would play it on the PS4. Not having hardware issues, no loading times, no slow building textures. and so on.
In office they play a badass version of the game we get : ( With tons of weapons and such. If you got your hands on it you could play it too. Here is the UDK site unreal 3 is free to download. Learn how to do what CCP is doing it's fun. I'm even making a video tutorial on it. I get paid to teach people how to learn unreal 3... |

Selarum Dreikyyn wrote:To give you some perspective here when it comes to PS3 and PS4 differences. The PS3, like the Xbox 360 runs on a modified IBM PowerPC processor. PowerPC if you dare to remember were the CPU of choice for Apple Macintosh computers up until 2006 when they switched to Intel. The PowerPC CPU runs much slower in comparison to Intel or AMD because in a nutshell it's poorly designed to handle the level of processes modern computer systems need.
The PS4 runs on an AMD chipset primarily because AMD have better built in GPU components than Intel (That is my opinion due to my own experience) and because of this more developers can make game for the PS4.
Even if RAM was the primary factor the CPU is too archaic on the PS3 to handle huge scale gaming like what we would need for a proper DUST 514 setup.
I honestly think CCP was promised the PS3 could handle what they wanted to do, and it came as a surprise how much they had to scale back. They fired everyone for a reason... |
