after playing a lot of FW today this is what needs to be done about those damn tanks.
1. fix that damn speed glitch. It is annoying when you are about to kill a soma or madruger with your AV and it zooms away at mach 3.
2. railguns do way too much damage and shoot too fast. i understand the need for anti tank tanks, but doing over 2000 a shot right now is pretty extreme. especially if you are a gunloggi.
3. Make them more expensive. why the hell does my proto suit cost 20k less than my tank? if most tanks cost around 500k just for the tank itself im sure all these new people would be hesitant about calling 8 tanks per game.
4. make the militia tanks actually militia. give them less slots so we don't have 5000 armor somas and near immortal sicas running around.
I am pretty sure this would fix a lot of issues we are running into.
however, i do not expect CCP do more than 2 things on this list.

same here. i use the state gunloggi so i am spending 40k and some LP per tank.

I think you are forgetting it is a damn tank. Unless every protosuit you encounter is rocking AV gear you can pretty much have your way with them
by your reason we can say how many proto av suits does it take to destroy your tank. im pretty sure those suits combined would cost well over 560k.

Or, you know, you could try to not solo a tank and use teamwork.

It's about time that railguns again do more damage than forge guns, thus making them better for anti-tank work.

We spent more than half a year with tanks regularly going for over 1 mil ISK. Don't you think it's about time we had a price cut? The limit for vehicles is 7, not 8. And I'd love to be in a match with 7 v 7 tank battles in which AV does not bother, but rather, infantry actually watches it happen (for the first time ever), experiencing tankers fighting it out.

MLT tanks use to have 4 HP tank slots, and 2 auxiliary slots; STD had 5 HP tank slots and 2 auxiliary slots, and Enforcers (lol) had 5 HP tank slots and 3 auxiliary slots. Why do you want to nerf tanks even more? Now, MLT tanks have 2 HP tank slots and 2 auxiliary slots, while STD has 3 HP tank slots and 2 auxiliary slots. What more do you infantry want taken away from us?

No, it won't fix your petty complaints until you succeed in having vehicles removed from the game in their entirety, and the SP not refunded. There aren't any issues, you just simply cannot accept that tanks can't soloed with your MLT Starter Anti-Armor fit. You don't tank, so why are you worried about how they're performing?

I am a gunloggi tanker, always have been since closed beta. you always act like everyone who wants balance wants to see tanks nerfed.
1. we had 3 guys with swarms and 1 with a forge and we were able to kill most tanks except for the ones using the speed glitch. This is why i think the hp and modules are fine, except the speed ones.
2. I agree that it is about time railguns do more damage than forges but not to the point i can 2-3 shot all tanks.
3. Might be me but if i take out tank i really want that persons' wallet to have a small dent. not just act like a took out a dropsuit of theirs.
I like tanking but not to this point.
