THE AV COMMUNITY DESERVES this. They deserve the NERFS to all of our weapons. They deserve to face the tanks of Odin, indestructible and Fast as a LAV. They deserve to be in panic and frustration while vehicles rampage through maps unimpended.
Why? Well while every single Tanker was here constantly whining about tanks being Underpowered, Av weaponry being Overpowered, we had Atiim,monkey,me and a VERY FEW others trying to keep Av powerful vs AV. So all of you AV'ers and regular Infantry , READ our posts , and decided to ignore, willingly even while knowing that BEFORE 1.6 Tanks were already Pretty darn powerful,some of them tankers being simply unkillable.
So you sat back and grabbed your popcorn while a VERY FEW of us took on dozens of tankers requesting AV nerfs, tanks buffs and ridiculous stuff i sincerily didnt think CCP was dumb enough to implement (like VEHICLES being their real only true counter) and now you come here to QQ and shed tears of sadness because tanks wont let you get out of your red line?
So , the Vehicle community kept fighting to turn the balance strongly in their favor. While 4-6 of us fought to keep the balance BALANCED, or to infantry's favor.
we lost. we lost thanks to your SILENCE.
So now vehicles can do whatever they want. GOOD. The AV community deserves this.
Have fun Vehicle Drivers/pilots. The Battleffield is YOURS.

I must add something
DO NOT TRY TO TAKE OUT SHIELD TANKS WITH SWARMS, IT WON'T WORK!!!!
Use the plasma cannon instead, it actually deals a significant amount of damage to shield tanks. And can be used to take out infantry (it requires a higher degree of skills than swarms, be warned)

It saw me and went from a full stop TO OUTRUNNING MY FREAKING LAV. THAT'S ******* unbalanced and as a true tank driver I swear to you that I do not want this, it's stupid. No real self-respecting tank driver uses those militia nitrous mods (except for the occasional lol). Only people that abuse mechanics do

Even if I don't agree with your ideas all the time, I always had a respect foreign them, because most times it was coming from a place of logic instead of emotion.
I think CCP did well with the AV Nerf, but they did vehicles a little too hardcore. Tone them down a notch or two, and we will be in a pretty good place for both sides. |

The AV nerf was bad enough considering pre 1.7 tanks were already pretty hardcore sometimes. But as always, DUST514 community needs EZ mode.
EZ mode Assault versions of everything so thy can spray an pray. EZ mode AA, Ez mode tanks, EZ mode armor plates.. and so on...

The vehicle changes are actually pretty awesome. Dropships have to take a few hits from my forge, LAVs take 2 AV grenades, and I can take out about 80% of all tanks that don't have fuel injectors.
The fact that one second a tank is in front of forge gun taking hits, and the next second is on the other side of the map though...5 seconds later coming back with full health to the exact spot I was at, that's the problem. If tanks weren't so speedy I'd actually have more tank kills as of now. Heck, I even tried the whole suicide LAV just for fun and the tank literally stopped on a dime, and started driving backwards faster than I could drive normally right when he saw me coming at me.
Too bad though, cause that's when I activated the injector of my own and was only then able to catch up to him.
I honestly don't mind these modules, but 30-50% is really the most that they need to be...and a complex module for that matter.

Looks like the best way to counter tanks is with other tanks. I like this, we just need to tone down the infantry-slaying aspect of blaster turrets a little more. Less RoF, more damage. Essentially the rof should be so slow that infantry can run in front of the blaster without being hit, but the damage should kill off most unfitted suits in one hit. Almost like a sniper at medium range. This would in no way impact on their ability to kill tanks since they're such big targets.

You;ve been lucky TILL now. I've been Tank stomped by 4-5+ tanks most games in the last 3 hours.

It's sad that the real AV vs Vehicle conflict doesn't happen on the battlefield, but on the forums. Both parties wanted to be OP, neither really wanted balance.

I fought to keep the Forge Guns balanced against vehicles. I fought like hell too!
What did I hear from AR infantry crybabies?:

Now, 3 blasts from my Wyirikomi Breach FG isn't enough to take down a dropship without its Hardeners or Reps activated. (I have Prof. 3 and 2 Comp. Dmg Mods)...
...my 1600 HP Proto Heavy suit can get 3 shotted by Small Missile turret Splash Damage before I can charge one shot with the Breach FG
makes perfect sense.

Tanks and infantry can't be balanced until people figure out that number of players is the primary constraint in Dust battles. Balancing on ISK or SP or anything else just won't work.
Keep trying though. Its fun to watch it go back and forth.

I like the "waves of opportunity" and buffed damage for tanks actually, what I don't like is the outrageous speed of tanks. Yeah, the propulsion modules are broken I hear (100% speed increase instead of the stated 10%), but the tanks themselves have higher speed rating prior to fitment of modules than LAVs do.

Actually, as a forge gunner, I'm not dissatisfied with how powerful tanks are at the moment. I think they are ok... more difficult to kill, but not impossible. Can't solo them (or drops ships, either, it seems), which is fair.
The speed glitch is obviously ridiculous and needs to be addressed, but I have to admit, I've been having fun -- certainly less boring.
Anyways, most of you new tankers suck a$$ at the moment, so everything is pretty lolworthy from my prespective. I should have been killed dead-to-rights a number of times last night, and would have been by any decent tanker in the game... seems like every Red thinks they can drop a tank and just start blowing the **** out of everybody... it's been fun teaching them otherwise I'll prolly change my mind once these new jokers get some more practice under their belt.

GG o7 cmon man tanks are pack animals now.it take 6 shots from a proto forge gun w/ a dmg mod how come it has to take a team effort? team av is dead and theres still no sign of its return. i cant rally av guys and i cant do it by myself. all the whilist dust is continuing to go backwards in technology a javelin from a us marine can dominate any tank on the face of the planet. its a really unfun game when u have to ignore a tank to get any sort of enjoyment. i dont understand ccp. did they really not forsee this happening? do i and others like me deserve this beating? YOU GO TO EXTREAMS WHEN BUFFING AND NERFING CANT YOU JUST GIVE UP TRYING TO MAKE THINGS EVEN?! BECAUSE ITS OBVIOUS YOU DONT HAVE A CLUE WHAT IS VIABLE. research and development means nothing does it? this game makes us all angry but when you **** off infantry theres clearly a problem

Very odd decision CCP. Precisely this. By the time my "wave of opportunity" presents itself, the HAV has emptied al his ammo into my squad, and is beyond the redline resupplying and in module cooldown, gearing up for his next "wave of opportunity" to attack.

There by your opinion is meaningless. 1 PLAYER playing ALONE should be able to be tanken down by ANOTHER player playing ALONE. Regardless of EQUIPMENT or time playing the game,or ISK invested.... ITS CALLED BALANCE.
