Not at all - just pointing out that Devs are people - perhaps expressing sympathy for the people who lost their jobs, instead to taunting people who could be subject to the same, would be a more mature thing to do.
Personally, I'd rather CCP hire more people, and not lay them off. I fail to see how this is defending CCP's actions.

World of Darkness has always been in this limbo. CCP relied on Atlanta's office for the character creation (which is quite impressive and originally for WOD) and interiors of EVE (which were then modified for Dust). When Incarna came out and CCP realised microtansactions and walking in station shouldn't be a priority they layed off a bunch of the Atlanta staff. I think this is partially one reason why we only have Caldari warbarges and copied merc quarters and aren't likely to get anything else anytime soon.
Dust's fate is different, WOD hasn't made a single cent and likely won't have a chance of making any money for a couple of years at the rate it's going, and with the leap in technology without the resources I don't think it will ever be made (unless CCP just makes a ton of cash and gets of full staff for it). As of now Dust is making money, it also helps promotes the real cash cow that is EVE. Between the decreased labor costs in Shanghai as compared to Atlanta and the slow pace of development it's entirely possible that Dust is making enough to pay it's own expenses, and even if it's not, it's still a much higher potential source of income in the short term than WOD.
As much as I sympathize with those layed off, I think CCP made the right decision to straighten their priorities.
