...have come and this game is still here. People are coming back as well. The holidays might drop the numbers as people start getting the newer titles, but all I know is that everything from PS2 to Defiance was supposed to end this game and yet it keeps chugging on. The doomsayers have also been silent more recently, maybe they've finally left, maybe they got tired of spewing the same BS. This game isn't perfect, we all know that, and it's behind the the rest in many categories, but it is still unique, and the core concept is enough to keep it alive. I've only been playing for about 10 months and what I've seen change is immense. This game was built from scratch, and what has been done in just the past few months alone is commendable. Is it everything we need? Hell no!! Can CCP please everyone? I sure hope not, that's where you get the same generic spew released annually.
There are serious limitations to the long term life of this game, namely it's eventually leap off the PS3 on to another platform, but people keep coming back each patch, they really do see the improvements made to this game, and I for one will follow it wherever it goes.
1.7 was an overall success. It's not quite to the point where I'd start telling my friends to get on again, though they do show general interest in the core concept, the same way many people appreciate EVE.
Keep it up.
The Ellecon's come from a long line of Gallente. Tarn chose Peace. Tallen chose war.

The numbers are consistent if you look at it over the past year. They spiked at and before the "release", they started dropping off over the summer and have remained consistent throughout the fall, which is to be expected as more people are in school. The point is I think if they fix the turbo tanks and TKs Dust will be fine over winter break. I'm realistic enough to realize that we may not get the player market, full racial suits, and (possibly but unlikely) racial vehicles until next may when there will likely be the new expansion. Playercount consistency even at a relatively low spot isn't necessarily bad. I've played enough Planetside 2 on PC to see what a hit becomes after everyone loses interest. This game is still interesting, and it continues to be so, the biggest problems stem from the game play itself which has improved vastly.
Tarn chose peace. Tallen chose war. Where is my Gallente sidearm?
