Basically FW got all of these new bells and whistles, but at the core remains broken.
I noticed this morning that we Amarr won a district and then immediately after I was fighting on the same district defending against a Minmatar attack. This goes to show that Caldari and Amarr will likely remain at a disadvantage because if a district is won, the opposing faction immediately auto attacks it.
Basically CCP dusted off and polished a broken clock, it looks nice, but doesn't function.

In my opinion it seems like Caldari and Amarr are at a disadvantage because we get the most useless blueberries. I am barely able to win any match because the whole team is sniping, running or circles or doing nothing at all. |

What surprises me is that since this effects EVE which is their baby and most prized possession, you'd think CCP would try and rectify it as not to negatively effect EVE.

I've said it a few times: the fact that Scotty forces there to be attack order battles regardless of how many districts each faction has results in one faction always nearing 100% control and the opposite faction never having even a slight chance of getting territory back.
I don't see why it's such an issue for Scotty to open defend order battles and leave those lone enemy districts alone for at least some time. IMO, if one faction controls 100%, then 100% should be defend order battles. If the enemy conquers back a district and the faction now controls 99%, then there would be a 1% chance of Scotty opening an attack order battle.
This would even out things and make swings toward control depend more on skill and less on numbers, as it presently is.

I see your point, but then I also realise this has no bearing on Dust as a whole. We still get to fight FW battles... whether they've conquered all the districts or not. |

No this is a problem for both sides, iv tested it, there needs to be requirements for someone to fight for a faction.

Sometimes it affects Dust. Whenever one faction holds practically every single district, when you select FW, Scotty will insistently come up with a matchmaking error because it can't find any districts to attack. It stays like this until one is available to attack and no matter how well the other faction plays, they'll eventually lose it again because it'll be bombarbed by attacks.
This system means one faction will always inevitably progressively get closer to 100% control and the small spikes of opposition mustered by the other faction will be undone easily.
So whether or not we get to play is actually not the point, it's that the way battles are opened make it a slanted system by default.

So what I think they should do is put in a timer on a conquered district before it can be attacked again similar to how POS, Player Owned Structures, work in EVE.

Caldari and Amarr are losing because most people run FoTM fits which are fitted with Gallente and Minmatar items.

Doing that without changing how Scotty matchmakes would result in it returning an error for a lot more prolonged period of time. Then as the timers on conquered districts run out, it would delve into the same issue again, until the faction controls all districts again.

In this case I'm apparently extremely unlucky because I only get the fights were Caldari lose. |
