Now I'm not saying it doesn't happen in FPS games. Cause it sometimes does. But you have to understand that when it does happen in FPS games.. the guy runs off with REAL CASH. So It gets a little more hostile and personal. *cough.. just saw it happen last week* Yup. Guy ran off with $500 in win cash and didn't split it with his clan. Needless to say they were pretty pissed. It apprently happened during a BF3 torney. ONE YEAR AGO. They knowing he was a FPS player and ps4 has only 3 out actually found him in KZ. pretty interesting after that. LOL

Try losing a Sansha Nation Revenant with an ISK-conversion value of $9,000 in Eve Online just because someone used the meta game on you. That's a lot of money to lose in a single battle for a single ship. Up until that point there were only three such ships in the market. Now there are only two and thus their value has now at least doubled.

Honour-less dogs. Just to provide some context: The back stabbing in New Eden makes finding people you trust more important. Friendships become more meaningful because trust is more important. Reputation also becomes more important. Trust is really the most valuable currency in New Eden.
Exactly. I have been playing Eve Online since 2008. Practically half the lifespan of Eve itself and I have been through a multitude of corps. Some very powerful ones and some minor ones. I can confirm that Trust is something that is so valuable that it's worth more in its weight than gold.
