As a weapon that has to slowly burn through an enemy, the laser rifle has got quite some competition in the new rifles. On top of this, the assault rifle apparently got an unnecessary range buff, as did the scrambler rifle.
Now don't get me wrong. I love that we have new weapons, even though I'm not skilling into them, at least not yet. I also know that the laser rifle isn't an "assault" weapon, but rather one that's meant to be used when from a flank, or against those running in the open, and I try to use it as such. But every other rifle out there seems to do a better job at those exact functions now since the patch.
My LR Operation is 5, LR Proficiency 3. Also using 2x Standard Light Damage Mods, and an Advanced Amarr Assault suit.
So for the other few LR users, what's your experience so far? Feeling a little slighted? I know I am.

Even since 1.7 dropped? Because I'd love to see that.
I'm sure that over the next few weeks, I'll adapt myself, but it won't be anywhere near easy.
